The Road Accident Fund’s mission is to provide appropriate cover to all road users within the borders of South Africa; to rehabilitate and compensate persons injured as a result of motor vehicle accidents in a timely and caring manner; and to actively promote safe use of our roads.
Purpose of the Internship: The Road Accident Fund is committed to youth skills development, though providing graduates with an opportunity to gain workbased experience. Applications are invited for the Internship from unemployed graduates between the age of 18 and 23.The Internship program will run for a period of eighteen (18) months. Verification process will be undertaken to verify whether you have previous work anywhere within the Republic of South Africa.
Work based exposure may include the following; (populate in the form of Summary)
- Assist in collecting, cleaning, and analyzing large datasets to derive actionable insights.
- Assist in target calculation by analyzing historical data, market trends, and business objectives to set achievable and meaningful targets for key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Support the forecasting process by analyzing historical data trends, seasonality, and external factors to develop accurate forecasts for future performance.
- Generate regular reports and dashboards to communicate performance against targets, highlighting areas of success and opportunities for improvement.
- Stay informed about industry best practices, emerging technologies, and advancements in data analytics to enhance the team's capabilities and effectiveness
Qualifications and other Requirements
- Certified copy of Grade 12 / Matric certificate
- Certified copy of B degree ( Maths, Statistics, Computer Science, Data Science)
- Certified copy of your ID
- Certified copy of Academic transcript
- Your CV and motivational letter
Technical and behavioural competencies required
The successful candidate will be required to display the following competencies in this role:
- Basic proficiency in SQL for basic data manipulation, querying, and analysis tasks
- Familiarity with Python programming language, with the ability to perform basic data manipulation tasks using libraries such as Pandas and NumPy.
- Basic proficiency in Excel, including the ability to perform data entry, basic formulas, filtering, and simple data visualization using charts.
- Familiarity with statistical concepts such as mean, median, mode, standard deviation, and hypothesis testing.
Remuneration
The interns will be awarded a monthly stipend.
