ROAD ACCIDENT FUND (RAF)
 
The Road Accident Fund's mission is to provide cover to all road users within the borders of South Africa to rehabilitate and compensate persons injured as a result of motor vehicle accidents in a timely and caring manner, and to actively promote safe use of our roads.

Main purpose of the role: To increase the number of direct claims through effective supervision and provision of assistance to the Hospital Service Consultants/CSC within a specific area.
 
Key Performance Areas
  • Effective and efficient supervision of sub-ordinates.
  • Providing Guidance and assistance to HSC/CSC Officers.
  • Monitoring productivity of sub-ordinates – ability to motivate sub-ordinates to increase productivity and to provide regular guidance and input.
  • To act as liaison and facilitator between HSC team lead and HSC officer.
  • To promote good working relations with stake holders – ability to network and inspire confidence and good relations for the Fund, good understanding of the needs of external stakeholders in relation to the RAF.
  • Effective and efficient human resource management – demonstrative ability to lead and ability to display empathy/compassion and understanding when required; thorough knowledge of RAF staff policies, grievance procedures, and staff policy.
                                 
                                                
Qualifications & Experience
  • NQF 7 (Bachelor's Degree or Advanced Diploma) or equivalent.
  • Customer Services certificate.
  • Driver's license essential.
  • Relevant 4 years' experience in the claims environment of which 1 (one) year supervisory level will be an added advantage.

Remuneration
The total cost to company minimum package applicable to this position is R502 953.00 per annum and will be negotiable commensurate with experience.
