Purpose of the Job: Accountable to provider for the health and safety of persons at work at work and for the health and safety of persons in connection with the use of plant and machinery, the protection of persons other than persons at work against hazards to health and safety arising out of or in connection with the activities of persons at work
Key Performance Areas
- Policy and procedure development and implementation
- Develop and maintain the OHS strategies
- OHS and Contingency Planning
- Perform OHS special investigations and reporting
- Perform OHS audits
- Workers compensation / injury management
- Human Resource Management
Qualifications and Experience
- NQF 7 (Bachelor's Degree or Advanced Diploma) in Occupational Health and Safety related qualification to discipline
- Certificate in First aid training
- Certificate in SAMTRAC would be an added advantage
- Drivers Licence
- Relevant 3-4 working experience in Occupational Health and Safety environment
- Extensive experience of the OHS Act, SABS and ISO 2001 regulations

Remuneration
A total cost to company of minimum remuneration package applicable to this position is R415 542.00 per annum and will be negotiable commensurate with experience.
