The Road Accident Fund's mission is to provide appropriate cover to all road users within the borders of South Africa; to rehabilitate and compensate persons injured as a result of motor vehicle accidents in a timely and caring manner; and to actively promote the safe use of our roads.

Purpose of the Job: Provide support to the Litigation Manger in the provision and management of the RAF litigated matters in the hands of the panel attorney and outside 15km radius
 
Key Performance Areas
  • Conduct Preliminary assessment of litigated files
  • Recommend a litigation strategy and action to bring the matter to finality
  • Monitor litigation plan and strategy
  • Escalate matters with litigious disputes to pleadings processes
  • Provide panel attorney with file content for trial preparation
  • Report on trial out comes and out of court settlements
 
Qualifications and Experience
  • B Degree in Law at NQF Level 8 or equivalent
  • Admission as Attorney or Advocate of the High Court
  • Relevant 3 years' experience in the claims/litigation environment 
 
 
Technical and behavioural competencies required:
  • Knowledge /skill in court rules and litigations
  • A good understanding of the organization's litigation infrastructure , service provided and customers/user
  • A good understanding of the organisation's business and how panel attorneys effectively to contribute or are to contribute to the RAF litigation processes.
  • Statistical, numerical and analytical principles and processes
  • Excellent communication skills orally and in writing
  • Awareness of RAF vision and Strategic/business objectives
  • Experience of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Personal mastery

  • Ethics ad governance
  • Customer orientation and customer focus 
 
Remuneration
A total cost to company of minimum remuneration package applicable to this position is R349 998.00  per annum and will be negotiable commensurate with experience.
