The Organisation requires the services of a qualified individual at its Pretoria Regional Office for the following position:

OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH AND SAFETY OFFICER: T.A.S.K GRADE 11

Purpose of the Role: To provide for the health and safety of persons at work and for the health and safety persons in connection with the use of plant and machinery,  the protection of persons other than persons at work against hazards to health and safety arising out of or in connection with the activities of persons at work
 
Key Performance Areas
·         Development and implementation of policy and procedures. 
·         Develop and maintain OHS strategies. 
·         Develop Contingency planning for OHS.
·         Perform OHS special investigations and reporting.  
·         Perform OHS audits. 
·         Manage workers compensation and Injury. 
·         Human Resource Management.

 
Qualifications & Experience
·         Appropriate Matric certificate /Grade 12 or equivalent.
·         National Diploma at NQF level 6 in Safety Management Qualification. 
·         B degree in Safety  Management Qualification will be an added advantage 
·         Certificate in First aid Training. 
·         Certificate in firefighting training. 
·         Certificate in SAMTRAC would be an added advantage. 
·         Relevant 4 year working experience in Occupational Health and Safety environment.  
·         Extensive Experience of the OHS Act, SABS and ISO 2001 regulations. 
·         Driver's license

Remuneration
A total cost to company of minimum remuneration package applicable to this position is R415 542.00 per annum and will be negotiable commensurate with experience.
