Purpose of the Job: Reporting to the Senior Manager: Legal, the successful incumbent will be responsible to provide management and technical support in line with the strategic objectives of the organisation as determined by the Board of the RAF; to manage, monitor and report on legal advice provided to the Board, Executive Management and business units; to publish a monthly internal legal advice newsletter; to prepare legal articles for requirements and the development of training material.
Key Performance Areas
· Manage all financial matters of the Legal Advice section in accordance with relevant legislation and policies.
· Ensure that the Legal Advice section activities are aligned to the approved RAF strategy and implement the controls required to drive and manage performance.
· Develop and maintain good working relations with all internal and external stakeholders.
· Manage, monitor and report on legal advice provided by the Legal Advice section.
· Conduct legal research.
· Draft and communicate legal opinion/ advice.
· Publish periodic legal articles in external media.
· People management.

Qualifications and Experience
· LLB Degree @ NQF 8 qualification with admission as an Attorney or Advocate.
· Relevant 6 -8 years' experience of which two (2) years must have been on manager/ supervisory level.

· Consolidate the RAF strategic Risk register in line with King IV guidelines and NT Risk Management Framework.
Remuneration
Total cost to company applicable to this position is minimum R911 075.00 per annum, negotiable.
NB: "RAF offers Total Employment Cost packages with no additional contributions from the Employer, successful candidates are required to structure their packages in a manner that will suit their needs".
