Purpose of the Job: Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the successful candidate will be responsible to lead the Office of the CEO and be responsible for managing special, transformational and strategic projects initiated by the Chief Executive Officer. This role is also expected to assist with the Fund's Project Management Committee to provide oversight on all projects undertaken by the Fund.
Key Performance Areas
Project Programme Design and Implementation
- Lead, manage and direct the strategic support functions in the office of the CEO.
- Identify, consolidate, plan and coordinate strategic projects to enhance service delivery.
- Define project scope, goals and deliverables that support business objectives.
- Develop and implement monitoring and reporting tools and frameworks to ensure achievement of projects goals.
- Ensure development of project charters business case, risk and issue logs and quality management plans for all the projects.
- Develop and proactively monitor project implementation.
- Prepare and manage the financial budget for projects.
- Effective management and monitoring of the departmental expenditure and realization of cost benefit.
Reporting
- Communicate project status with executive management and the relevant stakeholders.
- Ensure effective and efficient management status to RAF staff through bargaining unit scope.
- Facilitate communication with all levels of the stakeholders' contact.
- Manage relationship with external consultants based on partnership principles ensuring effective capacity-building, cross-learning and communication.
- Ensure regular service providers conduct and deliver work within the agreed scope.
- Ensure proper planning and allocation of consistent workload within the department.
- Facilitate regular team meetings to ensure maintenance of the crucial interface between stakeholders.
- Monitor performance of teams against planned activities.
- Conduct periodic employee performance review and assessment.
- Provide ongoing support and coaching for employees.
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Management or related field @ NQF Level 7.
- Post Graduate Diploma/ Honours Degree/ Business Qualification @ NQF Level 8 will be an added advantage.
- Professional Project Management Certification will be advantageous.
- Relevant 10 – 12 years' management experience within projects or programme management.
- Exposure to business transformation; which includes significant effort of business process engineering and facilities rollout.

Remuneration
Total cost to company applicable to this position is minimum R1 625 685.00 per annum, negotiable.
NB: "RAF offers Total Employment Cost packages with no additional contributions from the Employer, successful candidates are required to structure their packages in a manner that will suit their needs".
