Main Objectives
As a member of a team of psychologists and interns in the Counselling Centre, the primary purposes of this job are to provide comprehensive counselling and psychological support to students and provide advice to University staff members in managing students with psychological problems.
The Requirements
Registration and compliant with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as a Counselling Psychologist with a Masters Degree (NQF Level 8). This means that the individual has served an internship of at least one year.
Relevant experience includes: -
• Any work with adolescents or individuals in early adulthood. The greater the diversity of this experience the better for example, experience in one-on-one counselling, group counselling and educational work.

Remuneration per annum (Grade 11):
Basic Pensionable Salary per annum: R380 997
Cost to Company per annum (Approximately): R510 672

As a senior member of a team of psychologists and interns in the Counselling Centre, the primary purposes of this job are to provide comprehensive counselling and psychological support to students, provide advice to University staff members in managing students with psychological problems, assist the Manager of the Centre in the supervision and training of intern and qualified psychologists and to deputise for the Manager of the Centre when they are not available.
The Requirements
Registration and compliant with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as a Counselling Psychologist with at least 5 year’s relevant work experience over and above their internship. Individuals who have supervised interns will be at an advantage.
Relevant experience includes: -
• Any work with adolescents or individuals in early adulthood. The greater the diversity of this experience the better for example, experience in one-on-one counselling, group counselling and educational work.
• Those individuals with specific experience of working with University students will also be at an advantage.

Main Objectives
The purpose of this role is to oversee all the technical functions of the Department of Chemistry, including running of chemical stores, running of undergraduate laboratories, instrument maintenance, laboratory maintenance, and to provide technical support.
The Requirements
A bachelor’s degree (NQF 7) with majors in a science-based subject or equivalent technical qualification (NQF 7) with majors in a science-based discipline plus approximately 6 years’ relevant experience where such experience includes: -
- Appropriate physical or chemical science technical experience/certification (computer-based instrument repair, troubleshooting)
- Experience in the maintenance of electronic analytical equipment
- Supervision of a team
- Previous experience working in a technical environment.
- Previous experience working with maintenance safety standards
