Job Description
Assistant to the Legal Unit (Grade 11) 3-year contract

Main Objectives
To provide a high-level, efficient, and effective project, organisational and administrative support while handling multiple demands from functional area specialists in the Legal Unit as is necessary in order to support the effective execution of their mandates and the vision of the Legal Unit.
The Requirements
A relevant Bachelor's Degree or equivalent plus approximately 4 years' relevant experience where such experience includes: -
- Previous administrative experience in a computerised administrative environment at a senior level.
- Previous administrative experience where planning, coordinating, and executing administrative processes and projects was a key responsibility and where the job required a high degree of multi-tasking.
- Previous experience in managing projects or events that required involvement of others and multiple processes.
- Previous experience in assisting with the planning, coordination and executing of projects.
- Previous experience in handling high-level and/or potentially sensitive queries from stakeholders, for example, staff, students, and members of the public.
- Previous experience as a legal secretary would be an advantage.

- The selection process that will be followed for this post will include an assessment and/or presentation and an interview.

Remuneration per annum (Grade 11):
Basic Pensionable Salary per annum:R380 997
Cost to Company per annum (Approximately): R510 672
