RAILWAY SAFETY REGULATOR (RSR)

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
  • A minimum qualification of a BCom Degree or National Diploma in Project Management, Business Management, Finance or related field
  • A minimum of six (6) years’ experience in project management with at least two (2) year at a managerial level.
 
REQUIRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:
  • Proven work experience in project management
  • Knowledge of strategic planning and implementation
  • Project Management Principles, practice and tools and techniques
  • Knowledge of technical and operational aspects of railway related issues
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office.
 

​ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Ensure effective implementation of all projects as per the targets and activities set
  • Ensure compliance with project management processes
  • Ensure proper risk management, including risk assessment strategy and policies for all projects
  • Develop the annual operational plan for the unit as well as contingency plans
  • Align and comply with the structure, policies and procedures of the organisation and recommend solutions that ensure that the organisation meets its goals
  • Manage and monitor project budgets
  • Provide guidance to stakeholders, manage communication and reporting at project level
  • Conduct periodic project reviews
  • Ensure that appropriate remedial and mitigation plans are developed and implemented.
