​SPECIALIST INVESTIGATOR – X 3

Location: Head Office, Pretoria
Reference: : PPSA 05/02/2025
Salary package: R1 216 824.00
Period: Two (2) year fixed term contract
 
Requirements: • A degree or Equivalent NQF level 7 qualification in any of the following fields: Law/Auditing/Accounting/Forensic Investigations/Policing • A minimum of eight (08) years’ investigation experience and/or experience in Forensic Accounting, Forensic Investigations and Forensic Auditing • Good understanding of legislative prescripts that give mandate to Public Protector SA • Proven experience in drafting or producing Investigation reports • Training on and good understanding and experience in the application of Microsoft Office applications • Understanding of South African Public Services Administration • Good understanding of the principles of governance and administration in the public sector, Good understanding and knowledge of public procurement law • Knowledge and application of Case Management System (CMS) or other computer management system • Knowledge and understanding of financial management system (forensic audit) • Knowledge of auditing or investigation techniques • A valid driver’s license • Fluency in English and other official languages • Ability to travel extensively is a prerequisite

Key, Responsibilities and Duties: Conduct investigations on maladministration, undue delay and conduct failure using various investigation techniques in accordance with PPSA service standards • Prepare Investigation Plans • Apply Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) process to resolve reported complaints • Keep complainants informed of the progress of the investigation • Prepare letters, memorandums and reports within timelines set in the investigation plan • Submit prescribed accurate and complete monthly and quarterly statistical reports • Participate in resolving all systemic administrative deficiencies or interventions relating to service delivery and incidents of maladministration and corruption • Initiate hearings, gather information and facts• Monitor and evaluate the work of investigators • Deal with complaints, resolve, rectify, make presentations and generally act without fear, favour or prejudice •

​INDUSTRIAL AND ORGANISATIONAL PSYCHOLOGIST

Location: Head Office: Pretoria

Salary Package: R849 702.00 -R1 003 890.00
 
Requirements: The appointee should: Be in possession of a NQF 9 (Master’s Degree) in Industrial Psychology. Have a Certification in specific Psychometric Assessment tools (i.e. CPA, MBTI, EQi, BeQ, Spiral Dynamics, etc.) Have at least 5 years’ experience proven Track record as an Industrial Psychologist. Be registered with the Society of Industrial and Organisational Psychology of South Africa (SIOPSA).Be registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as an Industrial Psychologist. Have a valid driver’s license. Be Computer literate in MS Office. Excellent understanding of policy and procedure processes, legislation and regulatory requirements in the field of psychometric assessments. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Self-motivated and a strong team player. Be declared medically fit for the position and environment, as determined by a risk based medical examination at the relevant Occupational Health Centre Advantageous requirements: Experience in a public service is essential.
 
Key, Responsibilities and Duties: Assess the business and identify practices that hinder productivity. Develop and implement wellness plan/ strategize to improve morale, engagement and job satisfaction. Develop and implement employee wellness policies and procedures to promote work-life balance. Review and consistent implementation of assessment policy and procedures. Develop psychometric and competence assessment processes to ensure the standardisation of criteria used for assessments. Ensure compliance to HPCSA code of practice, standards and legislation. Collect data on employee job satisfaction, motivation, and rewards. Identify interventions and programmes for individuals and teams and implementation with HRD. Analyse employee wellness report and address mental health concerns, stress management and ensuring a safe working environment. To train employees on life coaching. Management and coordination, planning and implementation of all Psychological assessment in the Public Protector South Africa • Ensure the rendering of a professional, integrated service by Employee Health and Wellness (EHW) to Public Protector South (PPSA) employees •Render psychologically-related interventions: (e.g. Counselling and Psychotherapy) • Designing, managing, and evaluating programmes aimed at alleviating psychological distress or psychiatric conditions • Management of mental health related initiatives • Conduct Organizational Diagnosis and team building initiatives • Take action to improve the mental well-being of employees and interventions to assist them with emotional, personal and work-related problems within the organisation • Manage the development and monitor the implementation of corporate well-being policies and strategies • Advise management on corporate well-being services • Provide direction on conducting of surveys, trends and development of interventions • Manage the development and implementation of Disability, Sexual harassment policies and programmes • Provide direction and manage Diversity, Disability, Sexual harassment and Gender Programmes and Interventions • Market Psychological Services and improving awareness on services offered within the organisation.
