DEVOPS ENGINEER

Purpose of the role:
The DevOps Engineer streamlines the PIC’s software development lifecycle to improve developer productivity, delivery speed, and code quality. They work closely with development, operations and security teams to identify and resolve pain points and inefficiencies in delivery workflows. Key responsibilities include automating delivery processes and maintaining the continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipeline.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems or similar.
- Must have Agile development certification (Scrum).
- Preferred certifications in Microsoft solutions such as Azure and Power Platform
- 4 -5 years of working experience with application development and support.
- Proficiency in one or more coding languages (e.g., as. HTML 5, C#, .NET, Web, Java, XML, JavaScript, CSS and Python).
- Experience with CI/CD tools and development platforms (e.g., Azure DevOps, GitHub, Jenkins, CircleCi, Docker, GitLab, Kubernetes).
- Experience with Agile development and a strong understanding of DevOps principles.
Duties:
- Streamline the software development lifecycle by identifying pain points and productivity barriers and determining ways to resolve them.
- Collaborate closely with development teams to understand their current build and release processes and make recommendations for improvement.
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders, including development, operations, quality assurance, and security, to streamline processes.
- Provide guidance to development teams to improve the performance and operability of the solutions they develop.
- Build and maintain the CI/CD pipelines to improve developer productivity, agility, and code quality.
- Develop and continuously improve automation solutions (including testing) to enable teams to build and deploy code efficiently and consistently.
- Build automated testing to reduce manual effort and improve product quality.
- Ensure that systems meet business and customer needs for reliability and availability.
- Monitor and manage application performance and service quality, including initial troubleshooting, debugging, identification of root causes, and issue resolution.
- Work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to analyse and troubleshoot complex production issues.
- Prepare and present design and implementation documentation to multiple stakeholders.
- Research new tools and technologies and recommend ways to implement them.
- Promote DevOps principles and culture across the software engineering organisation.

DATA ANALYST (RE-ADVERTISEMENT)

Purpose of the role:
The Data Analyst is responsible for conducting full lifecycle technical data analysis (including requirements, design, modelling, data mining, visualisation and optimisation). This role provides data analytics which can be used by the organisation to achieve business objectives through reporting trends, predictive modeling, as well as analysing business processes and opportunities.
Requirements:
- Bachelors’ Degree in Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or similar.
- Minimum of 6 years’ experience in data analytics, data engineering or analytics role, with at least 4 years’ experience in a financial services institution.
- Knowledge of asset management or investment fund industry, including securities, financial instruments, indices and related market data.
- Demonstrated experience in sourcing, cleaning and validating data from diverse systems, with a strong focus on maintaining data integrity, consistency, and quality throughout the analysis lifecycle.
- Strong understanding of logical and physical data modelling concepts, principles and practices including implementation in relational and cloud-based data platforms (e.g., Azure Synapse, Microsoft Fabric).
- Demonstrated experience in using data manipulation and analysis tools including T-SQL, Python, Microsoft R, Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory, and Azure Synapse Analytics within a cloud-based data ecosystem.
- Proven working experience with data analysis and visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, and IBM Cognos.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric components such as Lakehouse, Dataflows, Data Factory and Power BI.
- Exposure to Microsoft Purview for data cataloguing, lineage tracking, and governance awareness.
- Knowledge of metadata and master data concepts and practical applications in both transactional systems and data lakes environments.
- Full project management, agile methodology and development life cycle experience.
- Strong knowledge of Data Management Association (DAMA) DMBOK.
Duties:
- Design and maintain dashboards and reports using tools like Power BI, IBM Cognos while ensuring data visualizations are clear, accurate, and aligned with business goals.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver insights and support decision making.
- Conduct in-depth analysis and mining of complex business data to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies to support business.
- Documenting technical specifications for data solutions that specify pertinent information such as data sources-to-target maps, types, structure (logical and physical models), flows, data dictionary transformations, storage, and reports.
- Analyse and resolve problems in existing data / extracts / reports / queries and then implement corrective actions.
- Provide and apply quality assurance best practices for data analysis services across the organization.
- Lead the acquisition and management of data feeds services (e.g., JSE, Bloomberg, Iress, LSEG, MSCI, etc.) and subscription services across the organisation.
- Participates in project planning, daily stand-up meetings (scrums), reviews, retrospectives, sprint and release planning, and other related meetings.
- Identify and manage data risks in line with PIC Enterprise Risk and Data Management frameworks.
- Create awareness within the IT team and put in place a process of addressing and managing data issues.

Purpose of the role:
Is to ensure that the organisation’s record both physical and digital and Information assets are properly managed throughout their lifecycle. This supports operational efficiency, legal compliance, and information security.
Requirements:
- Information Management Degree or Higher Certificate in Archives and Records Management / Diploma or related
- 2 years Records Management experience
- Practical knowledge of core records principles, systems, processes, and imaging solutions.
- Knowledge and understanding of legal and regulatory frameworks governing financial records.
Duties:
- Provide support in the implementation of the electronic Document and Records Management System (eDRMS) to ensure optimal utilisation of the system.
- Organise, package, and conceal paper files for proper storage.
- Sort, scan, and index paper records for integration into the records management systems.
- Secure and maintain the storage of critical vital records through imaging and vault solutions.
- Evaluate and dispose of records based on their administrative, fiscal, legal, historical, and research value in accordance with the Retention Schedule.
- Research, develop, and implement procedures and work instructions to ensure that all legal, regulatory, and business requirements are incorporated across the organisation's business processes.
- Maintain a file plan to store records in a way that makes them easy to retrieve.
- Undertake audits of organisational records to ensure all records are properly accounted for.
