Requirements:
  • BSc/BCom in Computer Science, Information Systems, IT or a related field. 
  • Certified Tester 
  • Minimum 7 years of Quality Assurance experience, at least 3 must be in financial services. 
  • Familiarity with Agile frameworks and regression testing. 
  • Experience in documenting and testing complex test scenarios. 
  • Working knowledge of test management software. 
  • Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and programming languages (such as Java, SQL and .NET platform). 
  • Experience with test management tools (e.g., GitLab, Quality Center, Micro Focus,). 
  • Experience with test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Puppeteer, Playwright). 
  • Good knowledge of Agile practices and experience with Agile planning tools (e.g., Azure Boards, Jira, ClickUps). 
  • ITIL Foundation and COBIT certificate are advantageous. 
 
Duties:
  • Review and analyze business requirements as well as system specifications. 
  • Collaborate with Agile team members and other product stakeholders to plan and execute testing (e.g., regression, functional, data validation, system integration, load/scalability, stress and/or performance tests) for new and existing product features and/or functionality, as per business and technical requirements. 
  • Work closely with agile scrum teams to design testing strategies and integrate testing into the development process. 
  • Plan, create, execute, and test cases/scripts (preferably automated), working with business partners, developers, and other stakeholders. 
  • Support user acceptance testing conducted by business partners or end users. 
  • Review developers’ test plans to ensure comprehensive coverage. 
  • Document, analyze and report (oral and written) test results (including bugs) and recommend corrective action. 
  • Isolate, reproduce, manage, and maintain defects and test case databases, and verify fixes. 
  • Work with relevant teams to troubleshoot issues. 
  • Conduct post-release/ post-implementation testing. 
  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle. 
  • Identify tests to perform to ensure end-to-end service performance from key stakeholder perspective. 
  • Facilitate the study of problems and needs to determine how the system testing assures information technology can best solve the problems and accomplish improvements in the business. 
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement or process re-engineering as well as software optimisation. 
  • Conduct sprint estimation, planning, and managing development tasks as well as report in progress as per Sprint predetermined frequencies. 
  • Advise on solutions to conform to best practices. 
  • Compliance with PIC policies, procedures and standards. 
  • Maintain, share and transfer product, process and systems knowledge to Business and IT stakeholders.

ASSISTANT COMPANY SECRETARY

Purpose of the role: 
To actively assist the Company Secretary in delivering the Company’s Secretariat function with emphasis on ensuring compliance in relation to issues of corporate governance, including responding to changes in the regulatory environment

Minimum Qualifications: 
  • Bachelor of Law Degree or Equivalent/ CIS Level 4 
  • Chartered or Company Secretarial or equivalent certification will be an advantage. 
  • 5 - 7 years of relevant working experience gained within a Company Secretariat environment 
  • Proven accurate minute-taking skills ESSENTIAL! 
  • Understanding of Corporate Governance principles 
 
Duties:
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable requirements of the PFMA, Company’s Act, PIC Act, King IV and other applicable legislation and regulations. 
  • Promoting knowledge and providing relevant information relating to corporate governance 
  • Providing advice and reports on compliance matters 
  • Drafting and reviewing of Committee Terms of Reference and Board Charter on an annual basis 
  • Monitor and provide guidance for compliance with DoA and the TORs within allocated Committees. 
  • Provides general support and maintenance of databases of information on Directors, subsidiary companies, signing powers, etc. 
  • Assist with administrative responsibilities within the group secretariat (SPVs and GEPF subsidiaries) 
  • Maintain declarations of interest and manage conflicts of interest. 
  • Contributing to governance processes within Company Secretariat 
  • Assist in liaising with the Committee Chairperson(s) and other Executive and Non-Executive Directors on a regular basis to ensure appropriate governance of Board Committees 
  • Organizes and administers the smooth running of meetings for a portfolio of clients, producing accurate minutes, resolutions, and related documents. 
  • Management of Annual Work Plans for allocated Committees 
  • Maintaining statutory records etc. 
  • Drafting and maintaining Committee Resolutions including the compilation of decisions for submission to the Board of Directors.

ANALYST: PERFORMANCE & ATTRIBUTION 
Job Grade: D1 – D3

Requirements:
  • BCom degree in commerce, science or any related equivalent qualification. 
  • CFA, CIPM and/or equivalent advantageous 
  • 2 - 4 years relevant experience

Duties:
  • To assist with implementing performance and attribution management practices within the PIC. 
  • Monitoring of performance and attribution compliance with mandates and policies. 
  • Perform and manage the data reconciliation process between the source system and performance measurement and attribution system. 
  • To calculate and monitor the performance and attribution of PIC’s investment portfolios. 
  • Identify sources of portfolio outperformance or underperformance through performance attribution analysis. 
  • Measure and report on portfolio performance versus stipulated benchmark timeously on a monthly and quarterly basis. 
  • Contribute to the compilation of performance reports for internal and external stakeholders (e.g., management and clients). 
  • Assist with the presentation of performance reports to internal and external stakeholders. 
  • Maintenance of performance and attribution systems. 
  • Assist with GIPS compliance monthly maintenance.
