Requirements:
Minimum Requirements:
- Post Graduate Degree in Finance, Commerce, Engineering, and Science
- 5-10 years relevant experience
- FAIS RE 05 Certificate or must be obtained within 6 months of employment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Masters, MBA, CA(SA), CFA
Minimum Technical/Core Skill Requirement
- Portfolio management of Unlisted Investments
- Advanced financial modelling experience
- Financial analysis and interpretation
- Report writing
- Strategic planning
- Industry and sectoral research
- Leadership, communication and mentoring of junior staff
GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Provide portfolio management leadership and ensure the timeliness and quality of complex portfolio actions to maximise the value of Assets Under Management (such as restructuring, follow-on investments, debt restructuring, refinancing, shareholder initiatives and portfolio optimisation initiatives)
- Monitor all investments (compliance and performance) in accordance with monitoring processes, policies, guidelines, frameworks and practices
- Proactive management and monitoring of investments to timeously identify early warning signs and ensure early remedial actions are implemented
- Lead value creation and investment exit processes
- Build, maintain and manage high-level relationships with clients, conduct regular site visits and ensure client satisfaction
- Contribute to knowledge management through relevant lessons learned from the portfolio and develop best practice
- Lead and manage portfolio team of Associates and Analysts and ensure the team is high-performing
- Minimize impairments of investments through active monitoring of covenants and early remedial actions
- Compile reports and present them to Committees
- Assist the Senior Manager in ensuring the team is high-performing and contributing to the advancement of the division’s goals.

- 10-15 years relevant experience with at least 5-7 years being at a Senior Management level

- Manage in excess of R350bn of Listed Equities (Enhanced Beta) within set risk parameters
- Coordinate the Management of internal Listed Equity Composite (Enhanced, Strategic, Passive)
- Internal equities to outperform the SWIX within the set low-risk guidelines
- Ensure Quality listed Equity Research
- Listed Africa: Internal Portfolio
- Listed Offshore: Internal Portfolio
- Asset allocation process contribution
- Provide investment input to all clients – internal or external
- Lead a dynamic team of professionals within internally listed equities
- Incorporation of ESG into the investment process
- Alpha generation (core/satellite) listed global equity portfolio implementation
