DIVISIONAL ADMINISTRATOR

Purpose: To provide administrative support and services to the Multi-Manager: Private Markets in the execution of their duties.
Requirements:
- Grade 12 and Administration Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years experience in Office Administration, preferably in the Investment industry
- Proficient in all MS Suites.
Duties:
- Provide administrative support to the teams by devising and maintaining office systems including but not limited to document preparations for meetings, diary management, coordination of meetings, accurate minute taking, formatting documents, preparation of decline letters, etc.
- Coordinate and facilitate timeous submissions to specified Committees.
- Arrange, coordinate, and facilitate meetings as instructed.
- Action local and international travel requests by the team, manage expense budget, and ensure travel arrangements are accurate and complete.
- Assist in following up to ensure that payments to service providers are made within agreed timelines.
- Prepare and facilitate monthly orders such as stationery.
- Attend to any ad hoc queries as directed by management.
- Sourcing of quotations and raising of purchase requisitions and orders on Great Plains for approval by the delegated persons for corporate costs.
- Payment preparation and processing of invoices relating to Corporate Costs for submission to Finance for payment.
- Assist with all AuM procurement activities as directed by management.
- Conduct weekly review of business unit budget utilization for discussion with the Line Manager.
- Weekly review of outstanding requisitions and purchase orders to ensure that long outstanding requisitions and purchase orders are attended to promptly.

CREDIT RISK ANALYST
Job Grade: D1 – D5

Requirements:
• B Com Degree (Finance/Accounting), BSc (Actuarial/Mathematics) or any related Commercial degree
• Postgraduate Finance or Investment-related Degree, CFA, FRM, CAIA (Highly Advantageous)
• 2 - 4 years of relevant experience in due diligence assessments of credit risk in Corporate Finance and Project Finance Deals.
• Credit risk experience in both unlisted and listed credit is highly advantageous.
• Knowledge of Credit Assessment Techniques for various asset classes
• Knowledge of Financial Modeling and Valuation techniques
• Knowledge of compliance requirements for investments in Asset Management
Duties:
• To provide expert advice on credit risk factors that may influence investment decisions made on PIC portfolios for both listed and unlisted investments.
• To participate in due diligence of investment considerations and to provide independent risk assessment detailed reports, with recommendations to the various committees to inform decision-making.
• To assess investment considerations against both the client mandates and the PIC’s internal investment-related and other applicable policies and processes, which assessment will form part of the overall risk assessment to inform decision-making.
• To conduct ongoing risk monitoring, at investment and portfolio level for reporting to PIC Management, Client and Board (as required)
• To participate in ad-hoc credit and investment risk-related projects and activities related to improving ways of measuring, managing, reporting and/or minimizing risk while ensuring maximized return on all PIC portfolios.
• To participate in quarterly monitoring of investments (as required), including impairment calculations.
• To participate in ad-hoc requests from clients and/or PIC management to provide input into the risks and opportunities for portfolio optimisation.
• Contribute to the enhancement of credit risk and investment risk processes to enable continued robustness of PIC’s risk management.
• To conduct ongoing research and understanding of financial markets to understand trends and risks to ensure informed credit risk recommendations.

JUNIOR FUND ACCOUNTANT

Purpose of the role:
The purpose of the role is to administer record keeping of property-related transactions and maintain controls on the accounting system to assist with the compilation of both financial and non-financial information.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Degree in Accounting or Finance/ National Diploma
- 2-5 years of relevant working experience
Duties:
- Monthly record keeping and maintaining of controls in the Properties Portfolio to ensure that the monthly fund transactions are reflected accurately in the accounting records.
- Prepare monthly reconciliations of the Balance Sheet for the Properties Portfolio, to ensure that the fund transactions are correctly recorded on the accounting system.
- Prepare calculation of management fees, to ensure that fees due to the PIC as asset manager are valid and accurate (i.e. have accrued and calculated as per the applicable client mandate,) and paid timeously.
- Ensure that the adjustment accounts for sold buildings are prepared and settled timeously after transfer, this is to ensure that the buildings are de-recognised on time from the accounting system to ensure accounting records reflect an accurate position of the portfolio at all times.
- Preparation of monthly and bi-annual submissions to SARS (VAT and Income tax), to ensure compliance with tax legislation.
- Preparation of annual financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards in order to ensure statutory compliance e.g., Companies Act.
- Execution of annual asset verification, this is to verify the completeness and existence of assets reflected in the accounting records.
Competencies and skills:
- Knowledge of IFRS, GRAP, Company’s Act, Income Tax Act, PFMA and other relevant legislature
- Broad knowledge of financial policies and practices
- Knowledge of Financial accounting principles.
- Knowledge of Property Application Systems, COGNOS Reporting Systems, Caseware
- Understanding of how the public service operates
- Knowledge of property business
