Purpose of the role:
To manage and deliver medium and large projects, in IT and the rest of the asset management business, as defined in Epics and User stories within defined scope, quality, budget and time. Convert Epics and User Stories to sprints and manage delivery from inception to post-implementation review.
Provide mentorship and coaching to junior staff

Purpose of the role:

- B. Com or equivalent
- Project Management Professional OR Prince2 Practitioner Certification
- Certified Scrum Master or other Agile Practitioner certification
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience delivering IT projects, at least 5 as a Project Manager
- At least 5 years’ experience in Financial Services
- Experience with delivering projects using Scrum, SAFE or similar frameworks
Duties:
- Successful implementation of Agile in the delivery of IT and business projects
- Lead product delivery teams, ensuring defined processes, systems, tools and methods effectively adopted.
- Work with Product owner and diverse teams to embed Agile practices and deliver defined Epics.
- Build professional relationships through stakeholder management practices.

- Compile and consolidate portfolio reports and presentations to inform investment decisions.
- Development of financial models, including analysis of returns, sensitivities and scenario analysis etc
- Research and sectorial analysis to keep abreast with industry trends to identify growth opportunities and areas of concern.
- Assisting portfolio managers with their decision-making processes by providing strategic recommendations and supporting data analysis
- Assist investment associates in complex portfolio actions to maximise value of assets under management (such as restructuring, follow-on investments, debt conversion, rescheduling, amendments, and regular waivers).

ASSOCIATE PRINCIPAL (PRIVATE EQUITY)

Purpose of the role:
To execute unlisted equity transactions across various sectors and provide oversight and support on portfolio construction and deployment activities across the Isibaya division.
Requirements:
• Relevant commerce undergraduate degree
• Postgraduate qualification MBA/ M.Com/ MFI/MSc/CA/CFA/Engineering and/or any relevant Master’s degree or professional qualifications
• Deep experience in executing private equity transactions in the private sector (non-DFI) gained from working in any of the following types of institutions:
- Private equity fund;
- Private equity investment holding company;
- Principal equity investments
- Acquisition finance
• Strong understanding and experience in negotiating legal agreements in private equity transactions;
• Track record in negotiating and structuring complex transactions relating to the following instruments;
- BEE preference share structures
- Direct private equity investments
- Mezzanine debt
• Broad industry and sectoral research capability
• Advanced financial modelling skills
• Ability to lead a transaction from cradle to grave
• Experience in compiling investment appraisal reports for the Investment Committee
