EVENTS AND ACTIVATIONS MANAGER – (Ref NO – EVE 2024)
Proudly South African invites applications from suitably qualified candidates to apply for a position of an Events and Activations Manager, on a fixed term contract of 3 years.
REMUNERATION PACKAGE: R60 000.00 per month plus benefits.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- B. Degree in Marketing or equivalent.
- A post-graduate qualification will be advantageous.
- A minimum of 6 years’ experience in Events, Activations planning and execution (turnkey).
- A minimum of 3 year’s management or supervisory experience.
- Valid driver’s licence and own vehicle.
- Willingness to travel as and when required.
- Managing stakeholder relations and raising of sponsorship.
- Develop and initiate marketing strategies/plans and conduct marketing campaigns.
- Knowledge and experience with promotions, events and activations.
- Ability to lead, guide and manage implementation teams.
- Excellent presentation skills and project management capability.
KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide support to the Chief Officer: Marketing and Communications to develop Proudly South African annual operational events and activations plan/strategy.
- Effectively manage a team of event coordinators.
- Evaluate effectiveness of events, activations and related activities and recommend improvements.
- Roll-out marketing events, activations and promotions for Proudly South African.
- Conduct research, set objectives, develop marketing briefs, brief agencies and suppliers, and oversee the creative and production process.
- Monitor, evaluate and provide reports from promotions, events and activations.
- Identify and select options for promotions, events and activations.
- Achieve objectives, targets, deadlines and adhere to budgets to ensure effectiveness and efficiency of all marketing campaigns.
- Source sponsorships for the Proudly South African campaign.
- Develop plans/strategy and take ownership to ensure seamless implementation on approved plans/strategy.
- Keep abreast with trends/developments within the marketing industry by networking, forums, developments and introduce the latest industry trends and best practices.
- Project management and reporting of all events and activations.
- Ad hoc duties as and when necessary.
REPORTING LINE:
The successful candidate will report to the Chief Officer: Marketing and Communications (CMO).
