OFFICER — INVESTIGATIONS MEDIATION ADJUDICATION X2
 
OVERALL RESPONSIBILITY
The Officer: Investigations Mediation Adjudication is responsible for conducting investigations on complaints against Property Practitioners and institute disciplinary proceedings against offending Property Practitioners where required and manage and control the Property Fidelity Fund.
 
REQUIREMENTS
  • Minimum LLB degree or equivalent 
  • Must be an admitted Attorney served and completed articles or an Advocate served and completed pupillage 
  • 1 years post articles and or pupillage will be an added advantage 
  • Knowledge and experience in mediations, investigation and adjudication and court processes 
  • Knowledge of the Property Practitioners Act and Estate Agency Affairs Act 112/1976 
  • A working knowledge and understanding of the legislation governing the real estate sector and Framework skills development 
  • Good knowledge and understanding of the Property Practitioners Act (PPA) 
  • Good background knowledge and understanding of government policy and legal compliance issues in the public sector 
 
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 
  • Review and accurately categorise complaints from Consumers and Property Practitioners 
  • Investigate and consider complaints from the Consumers and Property Practitioners 
  • Establish disciplinary and adjudication proceedings required for the complaint 
  • Ensure submitted complaints are completed within turnaround times 
  • Mediate and adjudicate complaints from the Consumers and Property Practitioners 
  • Conduct disciplinary hearings and adjudication proceedings. 
  • Prosecuting before a disciplinary committee and adjudicators. 
  • Presenting Appeals lodged by parties to the complaints 
  • Prepare detailed factual findings and reports on the investigations, mediation adjudication and appeals 
  • Compile and manage legal correspondence 
  • Provide legal advice limited to the Property Practitioners Act. 
  • Give advise to Clients of the correct forum to resolve matters where the PPRA does not have jurisdiction 
  • Prepare monthly reports 
 
 
REMUNERATION: Market related remuneration will be negotiated with the successful candidate

MARKETING AND COMMUNICATIONS MANAGER
 
OVERALL RESPONSIBILITY:
The incumbent is responsible for managing the implementation of Marketing and Communication strategies, processes and plans within the PPRA. The role entails, amongst other activities, to ensure top of mind recall of the role of the organisation by key stakeholders; to conceptualise strategic marketing interventions to position the PPRA as a go-to Regulator on all legal compliance matters pertaining property acquisition and disposal. The role also entails day-to-day management of the Marketing and Communications unit and; ensures that employees are kept abreast of all relevant issues pertaining the organisation and the Property sector.
 
REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing and Communications (NQF 7) or equivalent
• Minimum of 6 years’ experience in a similar environment (3 years of which must be at a supervisory level)
• Good background knowledge and understanding of Government policy and legal compliance issues in the Public sector
• Understanding of the Property Practitioners Act, 22 of 2019, and of the work of the PPRA
• Knowledgeable about leading edge Marketing and Communications tools
• Knowledge of current Marketing trends
• Research, presentation, facilitation, organizing and people management skills
 
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Manage the Marketing and Communications unit within the Corporate Support Services Department, ensuring that set performance expectations are met
• Contribute to the development of operational plans for the unit
• Develop and implement an internal and external communication plan
• Develop marketing and branding strategies, initiatives and campaigns
• Working jointly with the Stakeholder Relations unit, develop, an enable the implementation of the Stakeholder Relations unit’s strategy
• Manage PPRA internal and external communication platforms
• Manage the conceptualisation of advertising material and facilitate appropriate placement of advertisements
• Ensure the development and implementation of a corporate identify manual and guidelines
• Develop new and review current Marketing and Communications policies and processes
• Manage all processes regarding production of the Annual Report

​ADMINISTRATOR – TRANSFORMATION ADMINISTRATOR X2

 
OVERALLRESPONSIBILITY
The Transformation Administrator is responsible for providing administrative support and assisting in the successful administration of delivery of various Transformation programmes.
 
REQUIREMENTS:
• National Diploma (NQF 6) in Finance, Accounting, or related field
• Minimum 2 years relevant working experience
• Understanding of administration processes and procedures
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Eagerness to learn and adapt to financial processes
• Verbal and written communication
• Good background knowledge and understanding of government policy and legal compliance issues in the public sector
 
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Assist in financial administration, management, data analysis and reporting of Property Sector Transformation Fund (PSTF)
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes
• Collaborate with different teams for financial information
• Contribute to monitoring and analyzing financial performance
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations
• Administer the implementation of all transformation programmes
• Conduct project administration, record keeping and produce project related reports
• Build and maintain healthy sustainable and mutual beneficial relationships with all service providers
• Develop and compile internship / learnership specifications
• Provide customer service and support the optimization of transformation

​SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR

 
The Systems Administrator is responsible for supporting and maintaining PPRA’s ICT systems, including desktop provision, network infrastructure, and associated software and business applications to maximize the use of PPRA ICT.
The role provides PPRA’s systems users with support deployment, configuration and management of computing and infrastructure services.
 
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
• National Diploma in Information Technology (NQF 6) or equivalent
• Minimum 3 years’ working experience in a similar environment
• Previous working experience in SAP Business One, Office 365, Microsoft Exchange
• Working knowledge of legislation affecting the organisation
• Customer Service orientation
• Analytical, task and deadline orientation
 
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Maintenance of customer care support system
• Supports, tests and troubleshoots hardware and software problems
• Support SAP Business One, Office 365 and Microsoft Exchange
• Provide technical analysis and implement systems to meet the PPRA’s IT goals
• Provide administration of all projects related to functions in the unit
• Install new software releases and system upgrades, evaluate and install patches and resolve software-related problems
• Audit system software and licensing to ensure compliance
• Participate in disaster recovery incident handling when required
• Support and maintain end-user requirements, including troubleshooting, account maintenance and training
