Purpose of the Job 
Perform various Account Administration functions according to Postbank business rules, procedures and policies. 
 
Job Responsibilities 
  1. Account Administration Functions/Responsibilities 
    • Perform all functions according to Postbank rules, procedures and Policies 
    • Receive incoming general correspondence/calls from internal and external stakeholders and assist or elevate as necessary 
    • Dealing with estates accounts in accordance with procedures and policies 
    • Check that all necessary documentation is available for processing of estates accounts, cheque clearances and related issues. 
    • Dealing with savings and investment related accounts in accordance with procedures and policies 
    • Check that all necessary documentation for processing investments, payments, compliance and related activities are correct 
    • Deal with all functions related to Unclaimed Accounts, Proxies and Court Orders 
    • Diagnosing and correcting of wrongly captured transactions 
    • Closing and transferring of workmen compensation funds as per customer request 
    • Receiving/dispatching/auditing of savings books 
    • Record and report accurately on daily performance/productivity (statistical) 
    • Recording of Postbank non-conformances 
 
  1. Management Support 
 
Qualifications and Experience 
  • Grade 12 (NQF Level 4) with Mathematics and/or HG Accountancy 
  • Diploma (NQF Level 6) in Accountancy would be an advantage 
  • Police Clearance Certificate is mandatory and must be attached to your application 
  • 2-3 years financial/banking experience 
  • Experience in banking systems such as FCUBS and Postilion 
 
Knowledge and understanding of: 
  • Knowledge of sections in Postbank 
  • Operational knowledge of financial administration 
  • Knowledge of SAP, Postilion, FCUBS, IGPS, Excel and MS Outlook 
  • Operational knowledge of section

POSITION STATUS : FIXED-TERM CONTRACT (8-MONTHS) 
 
Purpose of the Job 
As SAP FICO Specialist, your role will involve designing, implementing, and supporting SAP's Financial Accounting and Controlling (FICO) module, ensuring the organisation optimise their financial processes and reporting. 
 
Job Responsibilities 
  • Understanding Business Requirements: Analysing business needs and translating them into functional and technical requirements for SAP FICO. 
  • SAP FICO Implementation and Configuration: Configuring and customising the SAP FICO system to meet specific business needs, including setting up financial accounting and controlling processes. 
  • Process Analysis and Improvement: Identifying areas for improvement in financial processes and recommending solutions within the SAP FICO framework. 
  • Testing and Support: Conducting thorough testing of SAP FICO configurations and providing ongoing support to end-users. 
  • Training: Providing training to end-users on SAP FICO functionalities and best practices. 
  • Documentation: Maintaining detailed documentation of configurations, procedures, and customisations. 
  • Project Management: Managing SAP FICO projects, including planning, execution, and monitoring. 
  • Collaboration: Working with cross-functional teams, business stakeholders, and other IT professionals.
  • Troubleshooting: Identifying and resolving technical issues within the SAP FICO system. 
  • Data Migration: Assisting with data migration projects related to SAP FICO. 
  • Customization and Configuration: Customising and configuring the SAP FICO system to meet specific business requirements. 
  • Functional and Technical Design: Develop functional and technical design specifications for customisations and enhancements. 
  • Test Strategy and Execution: Develop test strategies, test plans, and test scripts and perform functional testing execution after development completion. 
  • Integration Skills: Ensure seamless integration of SAP FICO with other SAP modules and external systems. 
  • Financial Accounting Knowledge: Possess a strong understanding of financial accounting principles and practices. 
  • Controlling Knowledge: Possess a strong understanding of controlling principles and practices. 
  • Blueprint Preparation: Prepare blueprints for implementing projects. 
  • Validation of Reports and Customisations: Validate report requirements and changes in customising. 
 
Qualifications, Knowledge, and Experience 
Qualification:
  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Accounting, Finance or related field. 
  • SAP ECC Certification (SAP FI/CO). 
  • SAP S/4HANA Certification - Preferred (SAP FINANCE). 
 
Experience:
  • +5 years’ experience as SAP FI/CO specialist 
  • Experience working in the banking industry or consulting will be advantageous 
  • Functional experience in S/4HANA and SAP Strategy Management 
  • Experience in supporting SAP ECC and S/4HANA. 
 
Knowledge and understanding of: 
  • In-depth understanding of SAP modules that are used in the SAP ECC 6.0 & S/4HANA 
  • General understanding of Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) service delivery methodology 
  • Working knowledge of SAP and the integration points with other SAP modules and third-party systems 
  • Banking
