DEPARTMENTAL MISSION: To advise the business on broad remuneration philosophy, strategy, policy and practices and the design and implementation thereof. To ensure continuous evaluation and renewal, based on business needs and best practice.
 
OUTPUTS:
• Consult with and give advice to line management on remuneration strategy, philosophy and best practice to support business strategy and culture. In so doing support the businesses in the optimisation of their remuneration, benefits and human resources strategies and practices.
• Support businesses in the implementation of policies and practices.
• Identifying and addressing remuneration-related needs of the business.
• Support with regard to all processes/programs in relation to the remuneration and benefits environment.
• Implementation of all programs/processes within the remuneration and benefits environment:
• Owner of operational processes.
• Annual review and Pay processes.
• Retention scheme
• Work-Life Effectiveness program
• Recognition program (manager)
• Ensure alignment of remuneration & benefits practices within the group.
• Monitor application across all business units
• Market survey input process.
• Benchmark remuneration against the market by participating in a wide range of surveys conducted by consulting/research firms.
• Analyse survey results to inform business decisions.
• Ensure that practices and policies are leading edge and remain effective, do extensive research on trends and latest practice nationally and internationally by networking and consulting with both businesses and leading consultants in the field.
• Give input into the design of new pay and benefits practices, employment practices and work/life effectiveness programmes
• Produce and advise on all specifications relating to new implementations and enhancements.
• Manage data integrity.
• Manage alignment of all the different solutions
• Remuneration and benefits philosophy, practices and processes to line management and employees by means of written (memoranda’s, newsletters, policy documents, responsible for the HR Intranet site, “My Zone”) and verbal communication (addressing staff meetings, workshops, road-shows etc).

CAPABILITIES:
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
• B. Degree in Human Resources and statistics or Social Sciences Registration with the Compliance Institute of South Africa or a professional compliance association would be advantageous
• Registered Global Remuneration Practitioner (GRP) is preferable
EXPERIENCE
• Eight (8) years of experience in Remuneration & Benefits

DEPARTMENTAL MISSION: To provide an effective legal function and create an understanding of the regulatory and legislative frameworks governing PRASA Group, its divisions and subsidiaries. To ensure the maintenance of effective internal controls and compliance with the legislative and regulatory frameworks, organisational policies, processes and procedures and the reporting of all discrepancies/exceptions to the Executive team of the PRASA Group.
 
OUTPUTS:
• Provide advice, guidance and consultation expertise on legal matters.
• Develop and/ or review contracts.
• Legal Representation of PRASA, its Divisions and Subsidiaries
• Financial Management
• Support the development of corporate law frameworks

CAPABILITIES:

• LLB degree
• Admission as an Attorney or an Advocate (pupillage)
• Master’s degree (LLM) is an added advantage

EXPERIENCE
• 8 to 10 years’ Legal Experience in a Legal Commercial Environment
• 5 years experience as an in-house legal advisor or in a law firm
• Knowledge of the PFMA and regulatory prescripts
