DEPARTMENTAL MISSION: To ensure that the sourcing of goods and services form external suppliers and/or service providers is done in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
 
OUTPUTS: Training, Awareness and Support Activities
Assist in internalizing the culture of SCM compliance through ongoing awareness and training on the following amongst others.
• Procurement legislation e.g. PPPFA, PPR’s, Treasury Regulations and Practices Notes, etc.
• Defining and recognizing irregular expenditure.
• Procurement processes and procedures.
• Assist the internal and external auditors on matters pertaining to the audit and /or investigation of the procurement process and
• Assist in providing employee training on compliance related topics, policies, or procedures.
 
Review and Monitoring Activities
• Monitor the implementation of compliance -related policies and procedures for the business unit’s SCM.
• Conduct regular internal reviews or audits to ensure that compliance procedures are followed.
• Assist the internal investigation of compliance issues.
• Assist in the maintenance and update of SCM compliance related plans for implementation.
• Assist in the maintenance the SCM risk.
• Assist in the identification and determination of irregular and fruitless and wasteful expenditure.
• Assist in the maintenance of the irregular expenditure register.
• Review the effectiveness of SCM document control and filling systems.
• Assist in resolving and mitigating findings across SCM together with the various SCM heads.
• Facilitate, collect, and collate information required by auditors and assist in providing management responses to finding of both Internal and External Audits.
Reporting and other Matters
• Provide inputs to monthly SCM reports.
• Facilitate the reporting of condonations.

DEPARTMENTAL MISSION create awareness relating to the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) to make sure that Prasa Technical employees and contractors comply with the OHSA Act and construction regulations 2014.
 
OUTPUTS:
• Evaluate PRASAs Technical compliance with applicable laws.
• To develop compliance strategy that would foster a culture of compliance within PRASA Technical (SHE Meetings, SHE inspections, SHE Training, etc
• Foster compliance to RSR Act 16 of 2002, OHS Act No 85 - Audits and inspections
• Implement SHE plans for the depots
• Implementation of SHE specifications for the contractors
• Conduct depot audits and following up on mitigations
• Lead processes of ISO implementation
• Monitor implementation of standards, processes and procedures across the Division.
• Attend and co-ordinate monthly SHE meetings at the depots
• Ensure SHE appointments.
• Produce a monthly SHE report
• Ensure insourcing of OHSE agents at the projects and monitoring thereof
• Conduct contract audits on site
Participate in the development and review of:
