MISSION: To render effective and efficient supply chain management services to the Division.
OUTPUTS:
• Provide input during the development and review of the Group’s SCM strategy, policies and processes.
• Develop plans to ensure effective procurement support to PRASA RAIL.
• Consolidate procurement needs and develop a standardised purchasing approach for PRASA RAIL.
• Support Project Managers/End Users during compilation of tender and RFQ specifications.
• Direct and guide the establishment and management of SCM committees (Bid Specification, Bid Evaluation and Bid Adjudication Committees).
• Oversee and manage the following processes at PRASA RAIL: RFQ’s, Tendering, Contract management, Vendor /supplier management, Materials and warehouse management.
• Manage and monitor PRASA RAIL’S compliance to SCM legislations and policies.
• Develop and maintain relations with relevant stakeholders.
• Conduct training and awareness sessions on applicable SCM policies, regulations and processes laws.
• Manage Department’s service level agreements.
• Provide feedback and updates on SCM projects.
• Represent the Department at various committees and forums.

CAPABILITIES:
Minimum Requirements
• Grade 12
• B Degree/Diploma in Purchasing Management/ Procurement/ Supply Chain Management/ Logistics or Equivalent
• Minimum 8 years in supply chain management
• Minimum 3 years managerial experience
• Registration with CIPS
