JOB TITLE: Debtors Administrator
LOCATION: KwaZulu-Natal
SALARY GROUP: Junior Official

Mission:
To manage the region’s debtors’ book within the allocated area of responsibility by ensuring that all income generated is collected and accounted for to minimize bad debt and manage debtors within targets in terms of debtors’ risk parameters as per company policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
• Tenant liaison.
• Ensure that all reconciliations are correct (casting errors).
• Print and prepare reports.
• Ensure that manual invoices, credit notes and on-charges are done and are captured correctly on time.
• Adherence to deadlines and reporting calendar.
• Conduct monthly performance reviews of payment trends to ensure debtors are managed within debtors’ risk parameters and
as per policy and procedure.
• Ensure that debtors accounts accurately reflect and account for all transactions.
• Ensure Individual debtor’s transaction system recon is verified against lease to confirm accuracy of collectable balance.
• Meet cash collections targets and priorities as set monthly after debtors close off.
• Weekly progress monitoring and monthly performance reviews of collections.
• Ensure letters of demand are dispatched on time including SMS’ send.
• Ensure timeous handover of accounts to legal control where no reactions received on demand.
• Daily tenant receipt allocation
• Ensure that tenants monthly statements are sent to tenants timeously.
Knowledge: Property management environment, Administration management, Risk management, Audit Principles and Practices, Performance Management, Knowledge to prepare debtors and bank reconciliations, Understanding of municipal by-laws, Knowledge of PFMA, Treasury regulations or instructions, Computer literacy (Microsoft office suite Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SAP).
Skills: Financial acumen, Communication skills, Quality focus, Problem solving, Strategic judgement, Teamwork, Data analysis, Assertiveness, Interpersonal skills.

Minimum Requirements:
• Grade 12 certificate.
• National Diploma: Credit Management / Finance or related qualification.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in Debtors and collection techniques.
• Valid code 8 driver’s License.
