PAN SOUTH AFRICAN LANGUAGE BOARD (PANSALB)
 
Pan South African Language Board (PanSALB) is  a statutory body established in terms of Act 59 of  1995 (as amended). PanSALB seeks to appoint  results-driven, assertive and dedicated  individuals to till the following positions in our  Organisation.
 
 
AUDIT, RISK and ICT  COMMITTEE MEMBER X3
Reference: 22/ 2019
Location: Head Office (Pretoria) 
In terms of Section 76 and 77 of the Public Finance  Management Act (PFMA) of 1999, PanSALB calls  on qualified and interested persons to serve on its  Audit and Risk Committee till 30 April 2020.
Candidates can apply personally or be nominated  by someone else. Nominees working and residing  in Gauteng and from the Public Service Sector or  from the Training and Development Sector will be  given preference.
 
Candidate Requirements:  The ideal candidate  should have more than five years'  management experience gained from the  Audit/ Financial/ Legal/ Risk Management/Governance environment. Experience in or  knowledge of the Public Finance and Public Sector  will be considered as an additional advantage. In  addition to the above, candidates should  demonstrate experience in participating in  governance structures, ability to dedicate time to  the activities of PanSALB's Audit and Risk  Committee, have an inquisitive personality within  reasonable levels of probing, analytical  reasoning abilities and good communication  skills, and a fair understanding of the  regulatory framework within which national  departments operate.
 
 
Term of Appointment: Appointments will be  made for a period of 3 years after which, the  Board for PanSALB may renew the appointment  period for another term. This is not a full-time  appointment. The Audit and Risk Committee has  four statutory meetings per annum and  additional meetings may be convened as  deemed by the Audit and Risk Committee.
 
Remuneration: Compensation of Audit  Committee members is determined by the  National Treasury and/or the Auditor-General.  Schedules in this regard are issued annually with  specific hourly or daily rates. All other refundable  expenses are based on PanSALB's related  policies in line with the National Treasury  guidelines.

CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER
Five (5) years fixed term employment contract
Salary Package: R1,251,183 — R1,495,956 per  annum (All-inclusive package, of which a portion can be structured according to the individual's  needs)

Location: Head Office (Pretoria)
 
Requirements: As a minimum a BCom Degree in  Accounting / Financial Management field or  equivalent NQF7 qualification in related field; 10  years relevant experience in financial  management of which 5 years must be on Senior  Management; Qualification as a CA(SA) will be an  added advantage; Knowledge of GRAP, PFMA,  Treasury Regulations and Guidelines; Knowledge  of Government accounting financial statements standards, financial systems, Organisational and  Government Structures as well as principles of  financial accounting and financial planning,  budgeting principles, methodologies. Sound  analytical, interpretive and high level  communication skills.
 
Technical experience: A proven track record of  the ability to multi-task and manage change, strategic planning, business processes and  efficiency, development and implementation of  monitoring and evaluation systems. Policy  formulation and analysis, research, report writing,  co-coordination, leadership, facilitation skills,  problem solving. Organisational skills, people  management, financial management and systems  management. Planning, organisation and  stakeholder relationship management including  the ability to liaise and operate within  intergovernmental context.

BOARD SECRETARIAT
Five (5) years fixed term employment contract
Salary Package: R1,057,326 per annum  (All-inclusive package, of which a portion can be  structured according to the individual's needs)

Requirements: Applicants must be in a possession  of an LLB Degree, BA Law/ BCom law degree or  relevant qualification and admitted as an  Attorney/Advocate of the High Court of South  Africa. 5 years' experience in a company  Secretariat position.
 
Technical experience: An excellent knowledge of  corporate governance related legislation especially  the PanSALB Act No. 59 of 1995 *an expert  knowledge of corporate governance requirements  and systems specifically those applicable to board and board sub-committees as provided for in the  Companies Act, No.71 of 2011 *An excellent  command of written English and its use in minute  drafting *An affinity for detail for resolution and  minute drafting *Highly developed strategic  influencing and thinking competencies together with  analytical and interpretative skills as applied to a technical environment.
