REQUIREMENTS
- B degree/Diploma in Electrical Engineering
- ECSA Registration
- Government Certificate of Competency as Electro - Technical Engineer (Factories)
- 5 Years’ experience in electricity distribution environment
- Code B drivers’ license
- Be able to differentiate between colors
- Good communicator and personal management skills
- Proficient in two of the three official languages of the Western Cape
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
- Medium and low voltage distribution management and system planning
- Extensive knowledge in MV power system protection and fault finding
- Proficient in contract management and compilation of tenders
- Acquired with industry code of practices, NRS specifications, Electrical bylaws and standards
- Knowledge of electricity distribution legal framework and NERSA license pre-requisites
- Budgeting skill in terms of the MFMA
- Good knowledge of the IDP, SDBIP, KPA’s and KPI’s
- Good knowledge of Municipal electricity tariffs and NERSA approval procedure
- Management review and implement asset management plan
- Implement revenue enhancement, manage distribution losses
- Compilation annual operating capital and MTREF budget
- In liaison with DoE and local human settlement divisions manage the Integrated National Electrification Plan
- Implement and maintain effective and preventative maintenance services on all vehicles, plant and equipment
- Frequently up policies, by-laws, standard and SOP’s
- Good communicator and personal management skills
- Ensure a safe working environment, promote health and safety workforce and ensure safety to community
