REQUIREMENTS
  • Diploma in Electrical Engineering
  • Electrical Trade Test
  • Installation Electrician - (Wireman’s license)
  • 3’Years post qualification in Electrical Engineering
  • Be able to differentiate between colors
  • Code B drivers’ license
  • Computer Literacy (Microsoft Office Applications)
  • Human Resource Management
  • Good Conflict Resolution Skills
  • Excellent analytical skills  
  • Ability to manage and integrate the various metering technologies
  • Ability to conduct potential fuel fraud/theft investigations internally
  • Through knowledge of municipality electricity metering, consumer electrical installation topology
  • Willingness to work standby hours and overtime
  • Proficient in two of the three official languages of the Western Cape
 
 
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
  • Developing and implementation an asset management plan, maintenance plans, maintenance schedules for metering and ancillary equipment
  • Successful develop and implement workflow schedules, execution plans
  • Acquainted with Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations No 85/1993
  • Implement and monitor revenue maintenance schedules on road traffic controllers and systems
  • Audit by site inspections or other means tampering on consumer installations and municipal property
  • Approve and process new applications in terms of Council’s Embedded Generation Policy, Municipal by-laws, NRS standards, safety regulations and related industry standards
  • Thorough knowledge of Electrification Projects Testing and Commissioning
  • Thorough knowledge of MV distribution substation protection and DC control systems
