ASSISTANT DIRECTOR: ANNUAL RETURNS (6-MONTH CONTRACT) (REF #: OHSC 20/2024)
Salary: R 552 081 per annum (plus 37% in lieu of benefits)
 
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in health sciences field. At least 5 years’ experience in health care, 3 of which must have been in direct patient care. Experience must include health data analysis and/or management of health information systems. Good communication (written and verbal), Interpersonal, problem solving and analytical skills. Postgraduate qualification in health care will serve as an advantage. Experience in health quality management/case management/project management in healthcare will serve as an added advantage.
 
Duties:
Manage the administration of the annual returns information system. Assist health facilities with annual return submission processes. Support the development of procedures and protocols (governance systems) for the submission of annual returns on the annual information system. Monitor and verify the completeness, accuracy and timeliness of data submitted. Maintain and monitor an updated national health establishment register.

ASSISTANT DIRECTOR: DATA ANALYSIS AND REPORTING (6-MONTH CONTRACT) (REF #: OHSC 19/2024)

Requirements:
A BSc degree in Statistics/Computer Science. A post-graduate qualification in data science/biostatistics would be an added advantage. A minimum of 5 years’ experience in data analytics. Experience in business analytics would be an added advantage. Good communication (written and verbal) and computer literacy skills. Report writing, analytical assessment and evaluation skills. Willingness to work outside normal hours. A valid driver’s licence.
 
Duties:
Assist and manage the identification of data analysis needs. Assist with the development of syntaxis used for arrangement and manipulation of datasets. Assist with the management of datasets from the OHSC information systems. Assist to produce statistical information to guide feedback to stakeholders and recommendations provided by the OHSC. Assist with the packaging and sharing of data for further analysis.

Requirements:
A three-year bachelor’s degree or three-year Diploma / National Diploma in the Health Sciences field. Current registration with relevant professional body / council. A minimum of 5 years’ experience in direct patient care. Knowledge of customer service process, healthcare statutes and health standards. Good communication skills (written and verbal). Planning and organizational skills. Computer and report writing skills. A valid driver’s licence. A post-graduate qualification in Public Health or Quality Assurance will serve as an advantage. Experience in managing healthcare or quality assurance services will serve as an added advantage.
 
Duties:
Support the complaints screening framework and strategy. Coordinate and administer the review of complaint registration, resolutions and transfers. Manage the screening of complaints to ensure timely resolution. Coordinate and administer the assessment of referred complaints. Collaborate with other OHSC units and external stakeholders in the management of complaints. Compile an assessment report for the preliminary evaluation including the following: facts of the case; Issues; rules or provision contravened & Make recommendations.

MANAGER: MARKETING AND STAKEHOLDER RELATIONS (6-MONTH CONTRACT) (REF #: OHSC 17/2024)
Salary: An all-inclusive salary package of R 1, 003 890 per annum (basic salary consists of 70% or 76% of the total package, OHSC’s contribution to the Government Employee Pension Fund (13% of basic salary) and a flexible portion). The flexible portion can be structured according to OHSC guidelines.
 
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or National Diploma in Communication, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or Advertising. At least 5 years’ experience in Communication, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing or Advertising of which 3 years must have been at a junior management level. Excellent communication skills (Written and verbal). Problem solving and decision-making skills. Understanding of intergovernmental relations, communications approaches, methods, and technologies. A valid driver licence. A relevant Postgraduate qualification as well as experience in communication, product pitching, presentation, document layout and design would be an advantage.
 
Duties:
Development and implementation of marketing and stakeholder engagements strategies. Management of marketing, campaigns and stakeholder relations strategies. Contribute towards development and evaluation of marketing and public awareness strategies. Management of digital and social media platforms. Writing and editing of corporate publications and promotional material. Draft opinion pieces, write letters, media statements, speeches and website content. Assist in designing and developing a media relations strategy.

DIRECTOR: GOVERNANCE, BOARD SECRETARIAT AND LEGAL SERVICES (REF #: OHSC 16/2024)
Salary: An all-inclusive salary package of R 1, 216 824 per annum (basic salary consists of 70% of the total package, OHSC’s contribution to the GEPF (13% of basic salary) and a flexible portion). The flexible portion can be structured according to OHSC guidelines.
 
Requirements:
A bachelor’s degree in law. An additional qualification related to Company Secretariat will be an advantage. Registration with the Chartered Secretaries of Southern Africa (CSSA) is recommended but is not a must. At least 8 years’ experience which must include a combination of experience in governance, Board Secretariat services and provision of legal support functions. Of the 8 years’ experience at least 5 years must have been on a middle management or senior management level. Experience in providing Board support within a regulatory environment or entity in the health sector will be an advantage. Knowledge and competence in business administration, compliance management, corporate governance and drafting of agreements would be preferred.  A valid driver’s licence is required. Matric Certificate.
 
Duties:
Manage and provide secretariat services, render administrative and related support activities to the OHSC Board and Board Committees. Ensure that the legal and reputational risk of the OHSC is mitigated and controlled. Provide a legal advisory and support function to the OHSC. Manage human resources, financial and procurement plans and processes within the unit.
