The South African National Biodiversity Institute (SANBI) is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, highly-motivated, dedicated, professional and responsible individual to provide comprehensive executive and administrative support to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) that ensures a professional and responsive quality standard.
 
The successful candidate must be in possession of a three (3) year National Diploma or Degree in Office Management and Technology/Business Administration/Public Management qualification, enhanced by a minimum of 5 years relevant working experience at executive management support.
 

The candidate should demonstrate good organisational, office management, communication, minute writing, analytical and problem solving, as well as excellent interpersonal skills.  The candidate must have knowledge of Public Service prescripts/policies and be familiar with Organisational Financial Regulations. Proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint, Access and Excel is a prerequisite, and should be in possession of a valid (unendorsed) driver’s licence. The successful candidate must have the ability to deal with urgent and highly confidential matters at all times, and pay attention to detail. The incumbent must be willing to work outside normal working hours and travel nationally as and when required by the Chief Executive Officer.

Key responsibilities will include:
  • Provide Administrative Support to the Office the CEO.
  • Provide excellent customer service.
  • Provide comprehensive executive support.
  • Administer the financial resources in the Office of the CEO.
 
SANBI offers an annual salary of R334 545.00. In addition SANBI offers fringe benefits.
