Lecturer: on (PL1) (Computer Practice) with Basic Salary between R 256 395 and R 410 565 p.a. excluding benefits

The successful candidate must meet the following minimum criteria (skills/competencies):
 
Minimum Requirements:

• Professional qualification in Education.
• An appropriate recognized bachelor's degree/national diploma or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 1/one-year relevant experience.
• SACE Registration.
• Digital literate and competent in Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Outlook/Teams.

 
Recommendations:

• Strong communication and presentation skills for effectively conveying information to students.
• Understanding various teaching methodologies and being able to adapt to diverse learning styles is important.
• Familiarity with instructional technologies and tools to enhance the learning experience.
• Proficiency in designing fair and effective assessment methods to evaluate student’s understanding and skills.
• Utilization of both formative and summative assessments to monitor student progress.
• A positive attitude and ability to skilfully plan and adapt to change
• The following soft skills are recommended: Typing skills, audio skills, problem solving skills, classroom management skills, ability to skilfully plan and adapt to change.

 
Key Result Areas:

• Classroom performance and application.
• Knowledge of learning programmes and broad curriculum.
• Learning activity: Planning, Preparation, presentation and administration.
• Learner assessment/achievement in terms of outcomes.
• Professional development in field of work/career and participation in professional activities.
