PUBLIC NOTICE TO APPLY FOR VACANCY ON PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION
(Commissioner appointed by President upon nomination of Premier)
PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION: COMMISSIONER (1 POST)
Based in Kimberley, Northern Cape Province
Remuneration Package: R1 521 591 per annum
The Standing Committee on Premier and Legislature Affairs, as required by the
Constitution of the Republic of South Africa, (1996), chapter 10, section 196 (9) and (10) hereby invites applications from candidates for appointment by the President, to the Public Service Commission to serve as a Commissioner.
Requirements: In terms of section 196 (10) of the Constitution, a commissioner is appointed for a term of five (5) years, which is renewable for one additional term only, and must be a woman or a man who is:
(a) a South African citizen; and
(b) a fit and proper person with knowledge of, or experience in, administration, management or the provision of public services.
