Requirements: • Bachelor's Degree in Built Environment or Post Graduate Degree in Management (Preference will be given to a Built Environment Degree) • 5 - 8 years' experience as Senior Manager • A valid driver's license.
In-depth knowledge of: • The Public Sector and its Regulatory and Legislative Framework • In-depth knowledge of the Built Industry Regulatory Framework • The Public Sector Financial management reporting requirements.

Key performance areas include, inter alia: • Develop, design and manage strategies, policies, systems, norms/standards and plans related to infrastructure programmes • Manage the delivery of the infrastructure programmes/project/maintenance and perform oversight role over implementing agents • Development of a short, medium and long term schools infrastructure plan • Development & Maintenance Plan • Contract Management • Provincial Infrastructure Asset Management Register • Chief Directorate administration, management and control.

GIS Technologist
Sub-Directorate: Physical Resource and Facilities Planning
Salary Grade C: R473 574 - R 557 856 per annum (TCE Package)
(The Department will determine the salary notch based on years of experience post professionalregistration)

Requirements: • A National Diploma in GIS or equivalent qualification • Registered as a Professional GISTechnologist with South African Geomatics Council • 3 years' post-qualification experience • Computer literacy• A valid driver's licence.
Knowledge and Skills: • Thorough knowledge of South African Schools Act of 1996 and Regulations • National Archives and Records Service Act of 1996 • Spatial Planning Systems and Norms of Government • Government Immovable Asset Management Act of 2007 • Occupational Health and Safety Act of 1993 as well as the National Environmental Management Act of 1998 • Understanding of the Education service delivery platform, indicators and service plan in terms of physical resource planning and mapping • Proven skills of understanding of understanding risk analysis and risk mitigation strategies • Interpreting existing and developing new Functional and Technical Norms and Standards in terms of physical planning • Proven skills of preparing and presenting reports • Ability to implement the Provincial Infrastructure Delivery Management System [IDMP].
Key performance areas: • Provide GIS data and information for infrastructure planning • Design appropriatespatial database for infrastructure planning • Conduct/Perform systems audits and implementation of GISstandards • Monitor development information of Geo-Spatial Industry.
