Requirements: • Matric/Grade: 12 • Diploma/Degree (NQF Level 7) in Socio-Cultural Anthropology and customary law or any other relevant equivalent qualification • Minimum of 5 years' experience at Middle Management/Deputy Director level • A valid driver's license • Competencies/Knowledge/Skills: • Extensive post qualification experience • Proven managerial experience • Sound knowledge of customary law • High level oral proficiency in Setswana • People management skills • Planning and organising • Problem solving • Good interpersonal skills • Computer literacy • Conflict management • Strategic management and leadership skills • In-depth knowledge of applicable legislation.
 

Duties: • Recording and maintaining a comprehensive knowledge base of traditional communities, structures and identity • Rending specialist services during commission of inquiry and litigation • Conducting investigation disputes and claims related to traditional leadership and others • Coordinating the activities on the preservation of culture • Coordinate the development and management of policies related to traditional affairs.

Deputy Director: Municipal Governance Support
Salary: R 733 257 p.a. all-inclusive remuneration package (SL- 11)

Requirements: • Matric/Grade:12 • Diploma/Degree (NQF Level 6/7) in Public Management/Public Administration/Communication/Law/Development studies/Political science/or any other relevant equivalent qualification • Minimum 3-5 years' relevant experience at Middle Management/Assistant Director level • A valid driver's license • Competencies/Knowledge/Skills: • RSA constitution • Municipal Structure Act • Sound knowledge of Municipal Finance Management Act • All regulations related to the above mentioned legislation • Public participation environment and related Government Gazette • Public speaking • Group facilitation • Conflict resolution • Planning techniques and tools • Monitoring techniques • Report writing • Computer literacy • Practical knowledge of end-user software such as Word, Presentation and Spreadsheets.
 
Duties: • Support municipalities to maintain functional Local Labour Forums • Monitor and support municipalities to maintain functional Council and Council Committees • Monitor and support municipalities to comply with legislation, by-laws and policies including regular reviews of such legislative mechanisms • Coordinate and monitor the implementation of local government anti-corruption strategy • Conduct assessment of the efficiency of municipal governance processes and systems • Conduct investigations into allegations of misconduct, maladministration and/or corruption by the councils and their administrations.

Requirements: • Matric/ Grade:12 • Diploma/Degree (NQF Level 6/7) in Public Management/Public Administration/Human Resource Management/ any other relevant equivalent qualification • Minimum of 3-5 years' relevant experience • A valid driver's license •  Competencies/Knowledge/Skills: • In-depth knowledge of applicable legislation • People management skills • Communication skills • Planning and organizing skills • Computer skills • Problem solving • Coordinate and implement activities of the Local Houses of Traditional Leaders • Manage the provision of Secretariat support to the House of Traditional Leaders.
 
Duties: • Coordinate and implement activities of Committees of Provincial House of Traditional Affairs • Coordinate and implement the activities of the Local Houses of Traditional Leaders • Manage the administrative and Protocol services to the House of Traditional Leaders • Management of both human and financial resources within the sub-component.
