REQUIREMENTS : Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/ BSc (Eng) Agricultural Engineering or Civil Engineering A minimum of 3 years’ post-qualification experience in engineering A valid Driver’s License Compulsory registration with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) as Professional Engineer Knowledge of engineering design and analysis Knowledge of project planning and implementation processes Good technical report writing skills Computer Literacy Good verbal and written communication skills Good interpersonal relationship skills Planning and organizing skills.
DUTIES : Conduct preliminary inspections for compiling of terms of reference and prescripts Prepare physical designs and drawings Develop tender specifications Provide technical / engineering support and advice to clients of the department Develop engineering plans/ reports to answer enquiries as made by the public Support the Districts with infrastructure development for different programs as requested Conduct construction site inspections, monitoring and compiling of relevant reports Contribution in budget expectations report on service deliverables Submit monthly project progress reports Maintain Continuous Professional Development
