SPORTS, RECREATION, ARTS AND CULTURE
SENIOR SUPERVISOR: POOLS (TWO POSITIONS)
(SPORTS FACILITIES)
POSITION CODE: 240422
TASK Grade 8 (R291 012 - R404 568 per annum)
(Basic salary only, excluding benefits)
 
Qualifications and experience required:
  • Appropriate level of secondary education.
  • Valid Code EB driver’s licence.
  • Lifeguard experience (preferred).
 
Key attributes and competencies:
  • Sound administration skills.
  • Sound communication and organisational skills.
  • Physically fit and able-bodied.
 
Job purpose
Co-ordinating tasks/activities associated with the maintenance of the pool facility, organising requirements detailed in plans, providing guidance to support personnel, conducting inspections and undertaking maintenance applications in order to ensure the facility is positioned to deliver a quality standard of service and contributes positively towards addressing the recreational needs of the community.
 
As part of the selection process, candidates may be tested on any requirement, skill or competency, which will include pre-employment screening, medical examination, security vetting and psychometric assessment.
