CORPORATE SERVICES DIRECTORATE
PRINTING MANAGER
(CORPORATE ADMINISTRATION SUPPORT SERVICES)
POSITION CODE: 250549
TASK Grade 14 (R618 948 – R860 508 per annum)
(Basic salary only, excluding benefits)
Qualifications and experience required:
- Relevant tertiary qualification (preferably in printing).
- Computer literacy – Office applications.
- Three years’ middle management level experience, preferably in a printing field.
Key attributes and competencies:
- Good written, communication, supervisory and report-writing skills.
- Sound knowledge in financial controls.
- Broad knowledge in the procurement processes.
- Good knowledge in printing, manufacturing or industrial environment.
- The ability to coordinate communication strategies with intra- and interdepartmental management staff and external stakeholders.
- The ability to direct and control outcomes associated with utilisation, productivity and performance of personnel within the Printing Section.
Job purpose:
Managing the key performance areas and result indicators associated with the provision of the Municipality’s printing requirements including the printing of agendas, reports, circulars, invoice books, colour work, water and lights statements through the valuable Data Network, in accordance with laid down policies and procedures, reviewing and participating in the planning of short to long term operational goals, aligning printing systems to facilitate effective printing service.
As part of the selection process, candidates may be tested on any requirement, skill or competency, which will include pre-employment screening, medical examination, security vetting and psychometric assessment.

Qualifications and experience required:
Secondary (Grade 12).
Computer literacy.
Eighteen months’ relevant experience.
Key attributes and competencies:
Good interpersonal and oral communication skills.
Supervisory skills.
Sound financial and analytical skills.
The ability to pay attention to detail.
Special conditions attached to the position:
A valid Code B driver’s licence.
Job purpose:
To perform various administrative and financial duties including the maintenance of the asset register, purchasing and controlling of office furniture and equipment, stationery, library material, etc. and to supervise subordinate staff.
