ASSISTANT MANAGER: PUMP STATION
(PLANT MAINTENANCE)

TASK Grade 13 (R499 176 – R693 996 per annum)

Qualifications and experience required:

Job purpose:
Coordinating and controlling the section operations and maintenance (Mechanical and Electrical) of the Sewerage Pump Stations through the implementation of procedures, applications, systems and controls to facilitate the regions with regard to efficient and cost-effective service delivery in accordance with the objectives of the Department and Division.
As part of the selection process, candidates may be tested on any requirement, skill or competency, which will include pre-employment screening, medical examination, security vetting and psychometric assessment.
Qualifications and experience required:
- National Engineering Diploma (Mechanical).
- Valid Code EB driver’s licence.
- Qualified as a Fitter and Turner or a Maintenance Fitter.
- Three to four years’ experience.
- Computer literacy in MS Office applications.
Key attributes and competencies:
- Physically fit and able-bodied.
- No fear of heights or confined spaces.
- Supervisory skills.
