NATIONAL REGULATOR FOR COMPULSORY SPECIFICATIONS (NRCS)
The National Regulator for Compulsory Specifications (NRCS) was established on 1 September 2008 in accordance with the National Regulator for Compulsory Specifications Act. It is an agency of the dti, established to administer compulsory specifications and other technical regulations with the view to protect human health and safety, the environment and to ensure fair trade, in accordance with Government policies and guidelines. It is the NRCS intention to promote equity through the filling of posts, according to set Employment Equity targets. To facilitate this process successfully, an indication of race, gender and disability status is required.

Purpose: To lead and direct the Finance Sub-section in planning, executing, monitoring, evaluating and reporting on operational requirements.

Requirements/ Experience:
- Bachelor of Accounting, Bcom Financial Accounting/Accounting, Bachelor of Accounting Science or any other related and relevant qualification as accredited by SAICA
- At least 8 years’ broad financial Management experience preferably within the public entity or related environment.
Technical Knowledge & Competencies: In-depth knowledge of Public Finance Management Act, Knowledge of National Treasury Regulations, In-depth knowledge of GRAP, ASB, IAF, ISB and all other applicable prescripts; In-depth knowledge of accounts payable and receivable functions, In-depth knowledge of revenue collection, cash flow and asset management functions; In-depth knowledge of financial reporting, Sound knowledge of financial policies, procedures and processes; Advanced Excel; Highly analytical and numerate, people management skills
