The National Regulator for Compulsory Specifications (NRCS) was established on 1 September 2008 in accordance with the National Regulator for Compulsory Specifications Act. It is an agency of the dti, established to administer compulsory specifications and other technical regulations with the view to protect human health and safety, the environment and to ensure fair trade, in accordance with Government policies and guidelines. It is the NRCS intention to promote equity through the filling of posts, according to set Employment Equity targets. Total Cost to Company Per Annum(R1 004 859.65 – R 1 223 772.19)
Purpose: To manage the accurate and timeous preparation of financial reports and to oversee the management of day-to-day transactional accounting functions in accordance with relevant accounting standards and PFMA, National Treasury, Regulations, GRAP and all applicable prescripts.

Requirements/ Experience:
- B Com (Accounting) plus articles. Preference will be given to CA (SA).
- At least 5 years’ experience in a Financial Management role, with 2 to 3 years in a senior management capacity, preferably within the public entity or related environment.
Knowledge & Skills: Sound knowledge of Public Finance Management Act, National Treasury Regulations, Preferential Procurement Policy Framework Act; Sound knowledge of GRAP, ASB, IAF, ISB and all other applicable prescripts; Sound knowledge of accounts payable and receivable functions; Sound knowledge of revenue collection, cash flow and asset management functions; Sound knowledge of financial reporting; Sound knowledge of financial policies, procedures and processes; Proficiency in Advanced Excel; Highly analytical and numerate

NB:
