FIXED TERM VACANCY
Remote working opportunity for an experienced SCM consultant
PART-TIME SCM CONSULTANT
Contract Term: 6 months
Location: Remotely and on site at National Museum, Bloemfontein
The National Museum, Bloemfontein is seeking a well experienced SCM Consultant to provide specialist SCM support to source for all long term contracts that need to be renewed in the 2023 cycle. The position is part time and the incumbent will be employed to complete the sourcing for a number of projects. The bulk of the functions can be performed remotely.
Requirements:
Minimum: Three-year Degree relevant degree at NQF 7 or higher and specific training on PFMA and Treasury regulations
Minimum 5 years’ experience in preparation of bid documents and high value RFQs
Minimum 5 years’ experience in the Public Sector procurement
Knowledge and experience of Public Financial Management Act (PFMA), Treasury Regulations and policies.
Knowledge and experience in audit processes by the Auditor General and ability to prepare audit ready SCM files
Computer literacy. Ability to follow proactive and creative approach. Be able to work under pressure.
Key Performance Areas:
Demand Planning – Procurement calendar for 2023 for Museum long term contracts
Preparation of bid documents and high value RFQs for long term contracts required in 2023
Specialist SCM support in Committee meetings – BSC, Pre – Screening, BEC and BAC depending on appointments made
Procurement related administration – report writing and all procurement related administration for this assignment.
Preparation of Audit ready files- All procurement must comply with the PFMA, Treasury regulations, SCM prescripts and the National Museum’s policies.
