ASSISTANT MANAGER

PURPOSE OF THE JOB 
To ensure the effectiveness of grant funding applications, appeals & queries are processed and provisioning of guidance to the provincial teams, in achieving NLC’s organizational goals. 
SALARY SCALE: Commensurate with qualifications and experience 
 
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: 
  • Postgraduate Diploma in Business or Public Administration or relevant field. 
  • Additional qualification in project management will be an advantage 
  • Language Proficiency- must be proficient in at least two of the official / main provincial languages 
 
REQUIRED WORK EXPERIENCE 
  • 3-5 years relevant experience in business administration, management, or a related discipline 
  • Project Management and/or proven experience in case coordination, administration or related roles will be an added advantage. 
  • Valid driver’s Licence and not less than one year’s driving experience is essential – note that travel is a requirement for this position

  • Facilitate, coordinate and manage provincial project appeals and queries within the NLC’s policy frameworks.

To provide company registration support, guidance, clarity and assistance to grant applicants related to NLC Grant Funding processes and systems to ensure successful grant applications. 
SALARY SCALE: Commensurate with qualifications and experience 
 
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: 
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Public Administration. 
  • Language Proficiency- must be proficient in at least two of the official / main provincial languages 
 
REQUIRED WORK EXPERIENCE 
  • 1-3 years relevant experience in similar role.

The purpose of the position is to conduct pre-grant site visits, assess and ensure that the information submitted by applicants is correctly aligned to the organisational Funding priorities and programmes.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: 
  • A bachelor’s degree in development studies, Social Sciences or equivalent. 
  • Additional qualification in project management will be an advantage 
  • Language Proficiency- must be proficient in at least two of the official / main provincial languages 
 
REQUIRED WORK EXPERIENCE 
  • 3 years relevant experience in similar role. 
  • Project Management and/or proven experience in case coordination, administration or related roles will be an added advantage.

  • Maintain, document and record keeping as well as uploading on the grant funding system all documentation received from applicants 
  • Package all project funding application documents for presentation to the Distributing Agencies with a detailed recommendation incorporating the pre-grant assessment information/report and the desktop assessment and evaluation. 
  • Address and incorporate any new compliant information brought to your attention during this phase in the value chain of the application for funding. 
  • Research and understand the various reasons for potential decline of applications during the application for funding phase of value chain to provide support and advise to applicants.

To provide company registration support, guidance, clarity and assistance to grant applicants related to NLC Grant Funding processes and systems to ensure successful grant applications.
