Position: Production and Development Manager – Non-Fiction (Temp)
Reporting to: Head of Department: Industry Development
Job Ref: RECR/PDM/001
 
The Production and Development Manager – Non-Fiction will manage, monitor and evaluate all non-fiction and special projects in development and production from conception to completion.
 
 
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Post Graduate in Film or Audio Visual and TV Production or BA in Journalism/English.
  • Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint).
  • 5-8 years’ experience in production management, scriptwriting, editing or broadcasting.
  • 2 years of managerial experience.
  • Experience in Project Management is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of the film industry (prerequisite).
  • Knowledge and experience of audience consumption and trends.
 
Key Responsibilities:
Demonstrated skills, knowledge and experience in the following:
  • Implement the NFVF strategy for production and development (Non-Fiction and Animation).
  • Project planning for development and production.
  • Oversee the contracting and budget management functions.
  • Consult, guide, monitor and provide feedback on project deliverables for development (non-fictional, animation and special projects).
  • Monitor and provide feedback on project deliverables for production and post - production (non-fictional, animation and special projects).
  • Managing the stakeholder relations function.
  • Compiling and presenting reports.
  • Managing staff.

  • Ability to plan complex activities/projects, allocate time and resources required as well as monitoring the costs of projects against budget,
