FINANCE MANAGER
Reporting Line: Chief Financial Officer and Project Manager
Location: Gauteng
Closing Date: 13 February 2026
Main Purpose
To coordinate effective, efficient, and transparent systems of financial accounting for NEDLAC for financial viability, compliance & reporting.
Key Responsibility Areas:
Budgeting & Forecasting Management
- Assist the Chief Financial Officer & Project Manager with the annual budgeting process by:
- Collect budget input from the different departments.
- Analyze the input received from the different departments to ensure alignment between sections and consult departments regarding possible amendments.
- Consolidating the final input from the various departments into a budget.
- Develop and implement budget monitoring systems.
- Assist with making forecasts to assist business planning.
Financial Management
- Conduct bank reconciliations in line with the PFMA.
- Review monthly reconciliations.
- Conduct Monthly reconciliation of the general ledger account.
- Analyze expenditure accounts to ensure correct allocation of funds.
- Coordinate the administering of statutory returns.
- Draft monthly management accounts.
- Manage the payment process and ensure timeous processing of receipts, bank reconciliation, bank balance monitoring, petty cash management.
- Identify financial risk within the National Dialogue Programme.
Audit Support
- Coordinate audit documents for submission to auditors.
- Work closely with third-party co-sourced service providers (as and when applicable).
- Evaluate and monitor corrective actions implemented by management.
- Coordinate audit projects.
- Address all relevant audit queries.
Staff management and development
- Maintain that subordinates meet their performance requirements.
- Conduct bi-annual performance reviews.
- Identify subordinates’ training needs.
- Coach and mentor all reporting staff
- Maintain that subordinates have relevant resources required for their positions.
- Maintain that subordinates operate within policies, procedures, and guidelines of Nedlac and related government agencies.
Financial Management
- Prepare monthly management reports.
- Review and development of Finance policies as required.
- Manage the movement of assets in accordance with internal processes and procedures.
- Assist in compiling the Annual Financial Report.
- Assist in compiling the Management Committee and Executive Committee reports.
Fundraising and Resource Mobilization
Assist the Executive Director/Project Manager with the fundraising and resource mobilisation process by:
- Identifying potential donors, partners and funding opportunities that align with the organization’s programmes.
- Preparing concept notes, funding proposals, budgets and all supporting documents required for donor submissions.
- Coordinating and collecting programme information, budgets and indicators from departments for inclusion in funding applications.
- Maintaining an up-to-date fundraising pipeline, including tracking proposal progress, reporting deadlines and donor requirements.
- Supporting the management of relationships with current and prospective donors through meetings, updates and follow-ups.
- Ensuring all proposal budgets and submissions comply with donor guidelines and internal financial policies.
Management of financial and procurement services 3rd parties
- Ensure 3rd parties adhere to Nedlac’s financial and procurement policies.
- Coordinate the submission of monthly financial and procurement management reports from 3rd parties
- Develop SLA/MOA between Nedlac and 3rd party organisations to ensure proper governance and management of National Dialogue Funds and outline key deliverables between parties.
Minimum Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance/accounting or relevant NQF 7.
Minimum Experience:
- At least 5 years’ experience in a similar role.
Knowledge & Skills Required:
- Extensive knowledge of PFMA, Treasury Regulations, GRAP Accounting principles, IFRS, Income tax act, Supply chain management and financial management processes.
- Financial reporting skills, Computer skills (MS Office), SAGE Evolution or any equivalent accounting related systems
Professional registrations:
- Completed articles SAICA/SAIPA an added advantage

COMMUNICATIONS MANAGER
Reporting Line: National Dialogue Project Lead
Location: Gauteng

Main Purpose
The Communications Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing strategic communication and visibility initiatives that strengthen the project brand, reputation, and stakeholder engagement. The role involves crafting compelling messages, managing media relations, producing content across multiple platforms, and supporting advocacy and public awareness campaigns to advance the project’s objectives.
Key Responsibility Areas:
Strategic Communication & Planning
- Develop and implement communication strategies and plans.
- Identify key audiences and craft targeted messaging.
- Align communication efforts with organizational/ project objectives and branding guidelines.
Content Creation & Management
- Manage the production of written, visual, and multimedia content (reports, newsletters, speeches, social media).
- Edit and proofread communication materials.
- Manage photography, videography, and storytelling projects.
Media Relations & Public Engagement
- Build and maintain relationships with media outlets and journalists.
- Manage the draft press releases, statements, and opinion pieces.
- Coordinate media briefings, interviews, and public events.
- Monitor and analyses media coverage
Digital & Social Media Management
- Manage social media platforms and digital content calendar.
- Monitor analytics and trends to guide content decisions.
- Develop digital campaigns to increase awareness.
- Provide input to Update and maintain the organization’s website.
Internal Communication
- Contribute to the development staff newsletters and internal updates.
- Support leadership messaging and internal campaigns.
- Facilitate internal flow of information across various stakeholders of the National Dialogue governance structures.
Advocacy, Visibility & Branding
- Support advocacy campaigns and public awareness initiatives.
- Ensure donor visibility requirements are met.
- Document case studies and success stories.
Monitoring, Evaluation & Reporting
- Track communication performance metrics.
- Produce periodic MEL and communication reports.
- Integrate lessons learned into future communication work.
Project Management & Coordination
- Manage timelines, budgets, and deliverables for communication projects.
- Coordinate with project teams, service providers, and partners.
- Ensure efficient workflow of communication outputs.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience
- Higher qualification in Communications, Media Studies, Journalism, Marketing, Public Relations, or related field.
- A postgraduate qualification in Strategic Communication, Development Communication, or Marketing is advantageous.
- At least minimum of 10 years’ relevant experience

PROVINCIAL COORDINATOR X9
Reporting Line: National Dialogue Project Lead

Main Purpose
The Provincial Co-ordinator is responsible for leading, coordinating, and monitoring programme implementation across the province. The role ensures alignment of provincial activities with national priorities, strengthens stakeholder relations, and manages communication, reporting, and visibility efforts to achieve measurable impact.
Key Responsibility Areas:
Programme Implementation and Coordination
- Lead and oversee the roll-out of national or regional programmes within the province.
- Develop and monitor provincial implementation plans and ensure alignment with timelines and outcomes.
- Coordinate local-level delivery through district officials, implementing partners, and community-based organisations.
- Facilitate workshops, training, and community engagements to strengthen programme ownership.
Stakeholder Engagement and Partnership Management
- Establish and maintain strong working relationships with government departments, municipalities, traditional leadership, civil society, and private sector actors.
- Represent the programme in provincial stakeholder platforms and coordination structures.
- Serve as the primary liaison between the national office, implementing partners, and provincial counterparts.
Communication and Advocacy
- Develop and implement a provincial communication plan aligned with the national communication strategy.
- Prepare press releases, briefs, and updates for stakeholders and the media where required.
- Document and disseminate success stories, lessons learned, and case studies to highlight programme impact.
- Ensure consistent branding, messaging, and visibility of the programme in all provincial activities.
- Facilitate internal communication flows between the provincial team, districts, and the national secretariat.
- Support public engagements, advocacy campaigns, and awareness events that promote programme goals.
Monitoring, Evaluation, and Reporting
- Collect, analyse, and validate programme data in collaboration with M&E officers.
- Prepare and submit high-quality monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
- Monitor progress toward targets and identify risks or implementation gaps.
- Recommend evidence-based improvements to enhance efficiency and impact.
Operational and Financial Management
- Manage provincial budgets, expenditures, and procurement processes in line with organisational policies.
- Ensure compliance with financial and administrative procedures.
- Oversee logistical planning for workshops, meetings, and field activities.
Team Leadership and Supervision
- Supervise and mentor district coordinators and support staff.
- Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and excellence.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Development Studies, Communications, Social Sciences, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in programme coordination, communications, or stakeholder engagement, preferably within government, NGO, or development sectors.
- Demonstrated experience in managing communications and media relations at provincial or project level.
- Proven experience in working with multiple stakeholders and cross-sectoral partners

- Produce engaging content for emails, newsletters, blog posts, website pages and reports.
- Maintain a consistent brand voice across all communication channels.

Process & Quality Improvement
- Implement proofreading, version tracking, and review workflows to ensure quality.
- Recommend improvements to messaging processes and documentation systems.
- Support cross-functional teams with ad hoc writing needs and special projects.
Qualifications
- BA in Creative Writing/English Literature/Media and Communication or equivalent qualifications
Required
- 5+ years of experience in content writing, communications, or marketing.
- Portfolio with strong writing samples (marketing, email, long-form, or internal communications).
- Excellent command of English with strong grammar, editing, and storytelling skills.
- Ability to write in multiple tones--professional, conversational, technical, and brand-driven.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hybrid environment.
- Strong research skills and ability to learn socio-economic, geopolitics and labour market and social dialogue topics.
Preferred
- Experience in public relations, media, or external communications.
- Familiarity with Google Workspace, or content management tools.
- Experience with email marketing, newsletters, or social media content planning.
- Basic understanding of SEO principles and keyword usage.
