NATIONAL AGRICULTURAL MARKETING COUNCIL (NAMC)
ICT TECHNICIAN
Type of Position AAMP Short Term Contract/Fixed Term Contract
Reporting to AAMP: Project Manager
Based: Pretoria, Hillcrest
Reference No: HRREC012/26
Purpose
To provide support and technical advice for ICT related activities to the AAMP Project.
Requirements
1. Qualification & Experience
· A Diploma or Degree in Information Technology or equivalent.
· Minimum of 2-3 years in an ICT support/technician role.
· Experience with Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Exchange, Active Directory.
· Hardware and software troubleshooting prowess.
· Ability to critically analyse a symptom, diagnose a fault, plan and take appropriate action on equipment including PCs, printers, multifunction copiers, sound boards, lighting equipment and networking etc
2. Knowledge and Skills
· Knowledge of hardware components and hardware troubleshooting procedures.
· Knowledge of Microsoft desktop operating systems and desktop software.
· Microsoft Active Directory skills including creating, deleting and modifying user accounts, setting up e-mail, home and directories.
3. Key Performance Areas
Plan and Monitor ICT Systems
· Assist ICT Service provider with ICT support, knowledge management and projects.
· Assist in creating a structured approach to rolling out new hardware and software.
· Implement specialist safeguarding software across all designated devices.
· Develop a maintenance schedule for all computer hardware, software and networks and ensure it is followed.
· Ensure server backup policies are working and maintained.
· Assist in planning and implementing changes to elements of the ICT service as required.
· Perform regular security monitoring to identify any possible intrusions.
· Facilitate training workshops to employees on revised ICT policies and procedures.
ICT Support
· Setup equipment such as PC, laptops, iPads, mobile devices, data projectors, sound systems and other specialist equipment, ensuring that systems are ready for use and operating safely and correctly.
· Investigate the user requirements and attend all logged calls
· Perform basic server diagnostic routines.
· Assist in creating and maintaining user accounts and mailboxes.
· Perform checks to ensure NAMC networks and Wi-Fi connectivity is maintained.
· Support staff with the use of new and existing Technologies.
· Detect, diagnose and resolve PC, printer and peripheral device faults.
· Maintain an up-to-date inventory of ICT software, hardware and licenses.
Compliance and Reporting
· Assist in updating the ICT risk register for the project on a quarterly basis.
· Assist in the production of the quarterly report.
· Write ICT submissions to the Management committee & other committees.
· Liaise with SCM on the ICT procurement requirements.
· Represent the ICT unit in meetings when required.

MARKETING AND COMMUNICATION SPECIALIST

Purpose
The Specialist will be responsible for managing the project’s communication platform and fully leveraging its capabilities. Working closely with the project manager this role will implement all programmatic and operational initiatives through the marketing and communication platform.
Requirements
1. Qualification & Experience
· A Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or Journalism.
· 3-5 years’ experience in the Communications environment.
· Computer literacy (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills in at least two official languages.
· Ability to function effectively under pressure and be deadline orientated.
· Ability to deal with National and Provincial government departments, stakeholders and staff in an appropriate manner.
· Ability to function independently, as well as within a team.
2. Knowledge and Skills
· Knowledge and understanding of Public Communications, Public relations and Marketing guidelines.
· Computer literacy (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
· Broad knowledge of all media and excellent public relations skills.
· Deep understanding of, experience with, and proven success directly managing social media.
· Strong project management skills including planning, organizing and communicating skills to effectively manage and co-ordinate service providers, internal and external stakeholders.
3. Key Performance Areas
Marketing and Communication
· Development of the project’s marketing and communication plan as derived from the approved communication strategy.
· Manage marketing efforts and processes, proactively researching and implementing the latest best practices, strategies, and industry standards.
· Development and execution, including segmentation, testing, and deployment, and continually evaluate improvements.
· Maintain Marketing Automation integration with CRM and assist in the integration of additional platforms into the marketing automation software.
· Responsible for producing working implementation (code) from functional/technical documents like a functional specification.
· Work with the project team to define KPIs, create reporting, and analyse campaign performance.
· Create recommendations to improve campaigns continuously.
· Understand and evaluate campaign metrics and distribute campaign performance to the project team.
Media and Public Relations
· Enhance the project’s corporate image through the effective execution of media strategies and stakeholder engagement.
· Assist the project team to build relationships and handle press/media enquiries.
· Maintain and design media campaigns.
· Monitor news, updates, and research relevant to initiatives and sectors; recommend and create related content to distribute broadly and accordingly.
· Conceptualize, maintain and create updated content for all communication platforms, including Newsletters, Publications, Websites and social media.
· Increase the visibility and status of the NAMC reputation and create awareness regarding its work and how it disseminates its research to the public.
· Serve as writer and editor for a broad array of organizational communications including, but not limited to brochures, newsletters, annual reports, and presentations.
Stakeholder Management
· Develop a stakeholder management strategy and supporting processes for the effective management of the NAMC relationships with stakeholders.
· Create strategy and narratives for reputation management and crisis communications.
· Track and report on public relations activities, relevant stories, and applicable news coverage.

CORPORATE COMMUNICATIONS MANAGER

Reporting to Senior Manager: Human Capital Based: Pretoria, Hillcrest

Purpose
The Corporate Communications Manager is the lead decision maker on all corporate communication activities the NAMC engages in and is responsible for the development, management and coordination of the communications strategy and all associated, tasks and initiatives in line with the NAMC policies and procedures.
The position is also responsible for building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders in the Agricultural Sector, Industries and the general public.
Requirements
1. Qualification & Experience

· 5 years’ experience at managerial level in the Communications environment.

· Liaise with key divisions to develop proactive communications plans to support their business objectives.
· Undertake Media training for Council, Management and other relevant Officials.
· Serve as writer and editor for a broad array of organizational communications including, but not limited to brochures, newsletters, annual reports, and presentations.
Stakeholder Engagement & Public Relations
· Develop a stakeholder management strategy and supporting processes for the effective management of the NAMC relationships with stakeholders.

Human Resource Management
Manage staff and administer the performance of all corporate communications employees.
Manage the development of employees in the division in consultation with the Human Capital Division.
Risk Management
Implement appropriate risk reporting by updating and managing the quarterly risk registers.
Represent the communication unit in the Risk Management Committee and other committees as required.
Receive and review the audit reports and advise business units when required.
