REQUIREMENTS
An Honors Degree in Agricultural Economics. A Master’s Degree in Agricultural Economics or study towards a Master’s Degree will be an added advantage. At least five years’ experience in the agricultural economics or economics field and experience in the grain industry. Successful completion of the JSE APD Exam (SAFEX) will be an added advantage.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide effective and timely research support to specific projects.
Engage with stakeholders and industry to facilitate data collection.
Collect the appropriate data utilizing all relevant resources through professional liaison.
Conduct research including analyzing data and interpreting data to provide policy recommendations
Produce sections of research papers in accordance with standards and format containing all the relevant information satisfying the objectives and outcomes of the research
Contribute to internal reports published by the Agro Food Chain Division.
Produce Grain & Oilseeds Supply & Demand Estimates report monthly
Conduct literature review/ study on related agro-food value chains and the grain industry.
