Job description
The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not be limited to:
  • Conduct HSEQ and Legal compliance audits, incident/accident investigations, inquiries, safety inspections and risk assessments
  • Proactive risk identification, mitigation and compliance according to the required legislation and company
  • Identify and analyse risk factors / leading indicators and controls within the system and projects.
  • Advise Projects/Site management on HSE/Risk performance and compliance to legal Corporate and reporting requirements by the Projects.
  • Compile an annual Audit Plan and submit to manager for approval and ensure that Audits are performed as per the approved Audit Plan.
  • Manage and maintain the HSE Reporting (CRM) system and conduct trend analysis of incidents
  • Participate in developing HSEQ CoP’s, Policies, Standards and Procedures.
  • Effective self-management in alignment with MRC values and leadership initiatives
 
Minimum requirements
Suitable candidates must possess the following minimum qualifications and skills:
·       Five years’ experience as a Safety / Risk Officer
·       Experience in HSEQ Auditing
·       Relevant Mining/ Engineering experience

Suitable candidates must have the following work experience:
·       Grade 12 or equivalent

  • Minimum National Diploma: Payroll Administration Services NQF Level 5

  • Proficient in the Sage 300 system or similar electronic payroll system

  • Experience working on VIP or similar electronic payroll system
