TASK GRADE 15 OF A CATEGORY 1 MUNICIPALITY
SALARY: R 572 268.60 – R743 002.92 P/A EXCL BENEFITS
PERMANENT POSITION
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Grade 12 ● Bachelor’s degree/ National Diploma in supply chain management/ financial management or equivalent NQF 6/7 ● Municipal Finance Management certificate will be added an advantage ● 5 years’ experience of which 3 years at a Supervisory level ● Understanding of SCM policy, MFMA Act no. 56 of 2003 and Municipal Supply Chain Regulations.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide and manage supply chain administrative service for the effective and efficient procurement of goods and services, inventory management in compliance with established processes ● Comply with and implement all policies and procedures pertaining to Supply Chain Management and Risk Management requirements ● To provide leadership and accountability for the development, implementation and Management of Comprehensive risk-based compliance system in order to improve overall compliance performance of the Municipality ● Reporting- Compliance reports, report on SCM Acquisitions and Demand, Orders, issues, contract management, deviations, Unauthorised, irregular and fruitless and wasteful expenditure● To create and maintain a conducive environment for work and to ensure optimum performance is realised for the benefit of the department using the appropriate Human Resource policies and procedures ● To build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholder in order to ensure information, advice or opinions on relevant matters is made available and communicated appropriately and timeously● To ensure laid down guidelines, procedures and controls are complied with during the procurement process .Receiving and executing instructions from the immediate superior on details/ requirements of tasks.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Cutting/trimming lawns and verges using handheld machines or tools for the clearing of overgrown shrubs● Picking up litter and items lying in open spaces● Removing and replacing refuse bags from collection bins in public areas ● Mixing toxic chemicals in accordance with instructions and issuing herbicides and equipment to field personnel● Receiving program instructions from the immediate Superior with respect to expected output, tools and materials● Cleans vehicles and attends storage and care of tools and equipment.
