REQUIREMENTS : Senior Certificate / Grade 12 plus (NQF Level 7) in Quantity Surveying as recognized by SAQA. Three (3) years’ experience post qualification. Current registration with the South African Council for the Quantity Surveying Profession (SACQSP) as Quantity Surveyor (2024). A valid driver’s licence. Computer literacy. DUTIES : Development, interpretation and customisation of quantity surveying planning and cost norms and standards. Policies, strategies, plans, procedures and criteria of all infrastructure projects/programmes. Contribute to Project Briefing documents, costing models and operational narratives. Preparation of quantity surveyor inputs to the preparation of the User Asset Management Plan, the final project lists, the budgets and Infrastructure Programme Management Plan. Research/literature studies to keep up with new technologies, viability and feasibility of the geographical information management options for the Department including interaction with relevant professional development boards/councils.
