Requirements:
• An appropriate 13-Degree/ National Diploma qualification at NQF level 7, majoring in PublicAdministration.
• Extensive management experience, preferably in local government.
• Advanced knowledge and understanding of institutional governance systems andperformance management
• Proven high-level communication (verbal and written) skills
• A sound understanding of Municipal and Council functions to take charge of the overallmanagement of the Office of the Municipal Manager
• Knowledge of Local Government Legislation & Regulations and Municipal Finance ManagementAct.
• A valid code 8 driver's license
Key Performance Areas
• Ensuring that the office of the Municipal Manager is properly geared to optimally. perform inaccordance with the provisions of section 55 of the Municipal Systems Act, 2000.
• Assisting the Municipal Manager in the development of an economical, effective andaccountable administration.
• Monitoring and evaluation of performance of all municipal departments.
• Ability to formulate and influence short, medium and long-term service delivery plan todeliver on municipal strategies and goals.
• Ability to develop and maintain strategic investment alliances with various stakeholders.
Ensure municipal transformation and organisational development, basic service delivery,local economic development, municipal financial viability and management, good governanceand public participation.
Competencies:
• Excellent planning, leadership, presentation and organisational skills
• Communication experience in the public sector.
• Knowledge of current communication trends.
• Knowledge of IGR framework, administration, national orders, MSA and local government.

Requirements:

• Extensive management experience, preferably in local government, and IGR
• An understanding of relevant legislation and policies that have a direct bearing on the work of theMayor's Office
• Proven high-level communication (verbal and written) skills
• A sound understanding of Municipal and Council functions to take charge of the overallmanagement of the Office of the Mayor
• Knowledge of Local Government Legislation & Regulations.
Key Performance Areas:
• Overall management of the Office of the Executive Mayor.
• Supervising personnel in the office of the mayor.
• Public management and co-operative governance
• Advice the mayor on legislation and related matters
• Write speeches and attend the Mayor to official functions/meetings
• Manage and co-ordinate public appearances of the mayor
• Accompany the mayor on official visits locally and abroad on special requests.

Requirements:
• An appropriate B-Degree/ National Diploma qualification at NQF level 7, majoring in Public
Administration and or Political Science or Equivalent qualification.
• Three to five years' experience in Local Government
• Understanding of the South African political landscape (and Moretele Local Municipality politicaldynamics).
• Good writing skills
• Verbal communication skills.
• Negotiation skills.
• Organising and co-ordinating skills.
• Problem-solving and leadership skills.
• Valid Drivers Licence • Computer literate
Key Performance Areas:
• Management of the Chief Whip's Office diary, and daily programmes.
• Advise the Chief Whip on strategic and political matters, inclusive of Council
• Formulate strategic direction of the office.
• Plan, organize, control and co-ordinate all activities in the office of the Chief Whip.
• Brief the Chief Whip on economic developments, internal and external relations andcommunications.
• Advise the Chief Whip on all operations of the institutions.
• Coordinate and convene the Party Caucus and Political Office Bearers.
• Provide administrative support to the whippery and multi-party whippery.
• Provide support to the programmes of the Constituent Office.
• Manage and supervise staff in the office of the Chief Whip.
• Provide research support for the Office of the Chief Whip.
• Perform all other duties delegated by the Chief Whip
