Mopani Technical and Vocational Education and Training College has a temporary vacancy for a dynamic results driven, innovative and sound communicative individual to join Phalaborwa Campus in Phalaborwa Town.
OCCUPATIONAL PROGRAM CHEF FACILITATOR X ONE YEAR CONTRACT
REF: PHL1/03/2025
SALARY NOTCH: R244 884 – R522 735 per annum
Requirements: National Senior Certificate/Grade 12 or equivalent. Must be registered as an assessor with Cathsseta or QCTO. Must have a Diploma in Culinary/Hospitality or qualification equivalent or above. Must have a minimum of two (2) years in the hospitality industry as Chef. Trade Test Certificate will be an added advantage. Computer skills is essential. Must have good presentation skills. A valid driver’s license and be able to drive.
Duties: Engage in learning/facilitating as per workload. Assess and recording performance of students. Manage the learning program. Invigilate internal and external examinations. Mark and record all students’ activities and assessments. Monitor all class activities. Organize, prepare and conduct workplace or simulated experiential learning for students. Complete the lecturer’s POA and ensure all students have POEs. Candidate should be available to assist with college events and catering activities. Perform kitchen practical assessments with learners as per curriculum requirements. Assist with students’ registration. Perform other relevant duties that may be delegated in the context of teaching and learning. Use technology in the delivery of teaching and learning. The incumbent should also be able to teach the following skills/occupational programs: Chef NQF level 5, Cook NQF level 4, Food handler NQF level 2 and Kitchen hand NQF level 2
