Requirements: An appropriate recognized three-year National Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Financial Management/Accounting/Business Management or Equivalent Qualification majoring in Accounting. 3 -5 years’ experience working in bursary environment at the College/University/ School. Basic knowledge of financial functions, practices as well as the ability to capture data, operate computer and collate financial statistics
Basic knowledge of the Public Service financial legislations, procedures and Treasury Regulations (PFMA, DORA, PSA, PSR, PPPFA, Financial Manual) and knowledge of basic financial operating systems (Coltech, ITS etc. Computer literacy. Duties: Provision of strategic information to the college and management for all planning, monitoring and reporting purposes. Ensuring overall supervision and co-ordination of students’ bursary scheme administration by NSFAS. Co-ordinate and facilitate other financial aid scheme such as MQA, WRSETA, INSETA etc. Supervision of bursary application process and reviews. Analysis of NSFAS provisionally funded students and authorization of disbursement funds. Supervision, monitoring, evaluation and support of human and physical resources within the unit.
